TEX-21 Statewide Meeting in Texarkana and 4-State DOT Meeting Nov 6, 7
On Thursday, November 6th, and Friday, November 7th, TEX-21 will host its final Statewide Meeting of 2025 in Texarkana, Texas!
This capstone event will be the largest TEX-21 gathering of the year, bringing together leaders and experts to focus on the future of regional transportation.
A highlight of the program will be a unique convening of four state Departments of Transportation—Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. The agenda features two dynamic panel discussions: one with each DOT’s Chief Engineer, and another with some of their top planning officials. These conversations will center on regionalism and cooperation, addressing the pressing challenges our states share—such as roadway safety and crash reduction—while also fostering the exchange of ideas and best practices.
In addition to the DOT panels, attendees will hear from U.S. Congressman Nathaniel Moran, as well as Texas Representatives, Texas Senators, and leading transportation experts presenting on critical multi-modal topics. The meeting will also include in-depth discussions on the TEX-21 I-30 Corridor Coalition and the TEX-21 I-369 Corridor Coalition, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen key infrastructure corridors.
On Thursday, Nov. 6th, the City of Texarkana, Texarkana College, and Texarkana Regional Airport have arranged for an outstanding program that will include a tour of the new terminal at the Texarkana Regional Airport (image below), aerial flight tours of the city, and a dinner in the state-of-theart Texarkana College aviation school’s hangar!
Cass County is a member of TEX-21 through the Economic Development Consortium in partnership with Atlanta EDC, Hughes Springs EDC, Linden EDC, and Queen City EDC. We invite you to be part of this pivotal conversation as we work together to shape the future of transportation across our region.
