Beauty For Ashes, Your Worth in God

Millions of women know how it feels to be betrayed, to be looked down on, to be told everything is your fault, the pain of loss, and heart break, feelings of failure and shock, depression, confusion, hurt, guilt, bitterness of soul at what could have been. The feelings of rejection, loneliness, trauma, trust issues, broken promises.

Some may be feeling overwhelmed, feeling like a failure, feeling worthless, wondering if it’s ever going to get better, or if the hurt will ever be healed. New health problems to deal with, a new way of life when a marriage breaks up.

Emotions like a roller coaster, Tears one minute, anger the next, stress, frustration, sadness, periods of grief, sorrow, can’t sleep, no joy, no peace, no happiness. You get used to wearing a fake smile.

Fear shows up, fear of the future, fear of new relationships, fear of being hurt again. Fear to love again. Fear of becoming involved with someone because of the What ifs.

There’s Loss of self-worth, feeling like you’re not good enough, you weren’t important enough, being made to feel like you’re the problem. Loss of companionship, income, security, family. Those who once loved you are now your enemy.

Labels appear such as single, separated, divorced, a troublemaker, no good. And the list goes on.

All these are things you may have experienced, but it’s not who you are!

And as sure as there is a God in heaven, you can get through it, you can overcome it, you can get Victory! You can get past your past, bring God in your present life and go on with him in your future. You can rise above the ashes of what was and give it all to Jesus, Give him every pain, hurt, every feeling of brokenness.

Isaiah 61: And he will trade you; he will give you Beauty in exchange for your ashes. He came to bind up the brokenhearted, to open the prison doors and set you free from all bitterness, hurt, anxiety, worry, insecurity, fear.

Whatever is holding you prisoner to your pain, He is the key to the prison door!

He has oil of joy in exchange for your grief and sorrow. He has a garment of praise in exchange for your heaviness, that you will remain a tree of righteousness planted in the Lord! Jeremiah 31:3; God says he has loved you with an everlasting love, and with loving kindness he drew you to him. Jeremiah 29:11; God says he has thoughts of peace and not evil, towards you, to give you a future, and hope, and when you call on him, he will hear you.

When you’ve been made to feel like Gomer on that auction block, like you’ve been discarded, thrown away, like your worthless, penniless, useless, know that there is a Hosea (ch.2) standing in the shadows, who loves you and wants to restore.

Wanting to speak comfort to you, bring healing to your heart, mind, body and soul. Restore your vineyards, your hope, your joy, your singing, wanting to make you his own in righteousness, in mercy, in loving kindness, in faithfulness. He paid the price for you.

God will give you beauty in exchange for your ashes. Your burned bridges, your brokenness. Beauty is a tiara that the bridegroom has, it’s something of value, like jewels. Isa.61:10...He has clothed us with value. The garment of salvation, the robe of righteousness, he paid a great price for you! You are not worthless; you are not useless.

You belong to Lord God of heaven. And He will restore your peace, your joy, a Sound mind, your trust, your hope. Whatever loss you’ve had, God knows how to restore back and even more abundantly. God Bless.
