OK, so some faces in nature do not have a recognizable smile. But some windows may be unhappy boarded up.They have a bit of a scowl.
Something about this smile in stone reminds us of ancient Rome. Maybe it’s because Rome thought of itself as eternal but obviously wasn’t.
