ABC’s of Saddle Stand Safety

* Always remove and inspect your equipment regularly and practice at ground level. Check for worn straps, loose buckles, faulty ropes, cracks, rusty screws/bolts or any other hardware that could potentially break or cause malfunctions. Becoming familiar with the operation of the stand close to the ground is always a good idea.
* Be sure the buckle on the hunting saddle is properly secured.
* Connect to the tree using some some sort of approved safety line before your feet leave the ground and stay connected at all times. Take your time when making the ascent and descent. Ensure all connections are solid.
* Destination share the location of your stand with someone else before you go.
