With 1:20 left to go in a one possession game, Gaven Bumphus split a double team and passed the ball to Kelvin Roberson who attacked the left side and found Hardy Sheppard for a lay-in. The Rabbits would go on to win the highly competitive contest, 38-36.

Aiden Shields led the Atlanta scoring attack with fourteen points. Sheppard added ten points, along with several key blocks and rebounds. Kelvin Roberson netted seven for the victors. Aiden Washington scored four, added several assists, and set the pace for the Rabbits.

KD Howell did an outstanding job on the defensive end and added several second chance opportunities for Atlanta Middle School. Brayden Thompson (two) and Levi Cook (one) saw significant action and each found the box score. The Rabbs’ 8A team finishes the regular season district play UNDEFEATED at 7-0 and 8-1 overall.

Zay Smith scored early and often, leading the Rabbs with fifteen points, as AMS rolled to a 44-33 win. JT McNeal’s presence was felt on both ends of the floor, scoring ten and filling the stat sheet with rebounds and blocked shots.

J’Kyron Anderson scored ten, and Cruz Crosby added seven for the winners. Rylan Buford, Marquez Anderson, and Jayden Moore played vital roles for the home squad, as 7A finished the regular season UNDEFEATED, 9-0 and 7-0 in district play. Both teams will compete in the District Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Redwater

A valiant team effort, with a shot rimming out at the buzzer saw Atlanta fall 18-19. Heath James scored five to lead the Rabbs. Jaxon Durmon added four, Riley Sutton four, Isaiah Harris two, Cordemian Roquemore two, and Cole Hanner one.

Jaiden Finley and Jayden Crenshaw brought energy and played significant minutes for Atlanta. 8B finishes 6-3, and 5-2 in district play, with both losses coming by one point.

Timeout was called, and down three with under a minute left, Janson Wylie knocked down a huge three from the corner on a baseline out of bounds play to tie the game. Wylie proceeds to get a steal on the ensuing defensive possession, gets fouled, and sank the game winning free throws.

Wylie finished with eleven points, as Atlanta held on to win 18-16. Greyson Charleston, Daniel Webb, and Jaxson Taylor all scored a bucket for the winners. Nash Winters added a free throw and several boards. Trey Johnson, Gavin Conejo, and Dennis Gulley played pivotal roles in securing the team victory. 7B finishes the season UNDEFEATED, 9-0 and 7-0 in district play.
