The Texas A&M Forest Service, established in 1915, is a state agency dedicated to providing leadership and technical assistance for trees, forests, and related natural resources across Texas. With a focus on sustainable management and conservation, the service offers a range of services, including wildfire prevention and suppression, forest health monitoring, urban forestry programs, and educational initiatives. The agency collaborates with landowners, communities, and other organizations to promote the responsible stewardship of Texas’s forest resources. Cass County is fortunate to have a local Texas A&M Forest Service office located at 907 Hwy. 59 South in Linden.
