Portion of SH 155 scheduled for rehab in Marion and Cass counties
ATLANTA – A portion of State Highway 155 in Marion and Cass counties is scheduled for rehabilitation soon, according to plans awarded in October by the Texas Department of Transportation.
This project will cover an area of about nine miles from 1.4 miles west of Farm to Market Road 729 to the Cass County line in Marion County, and from the Marion County line to 0.1 mile west of State Highway 49 in Cass County. “All lanes will receive new asphalt concrete pavement, metal beam guard fence and pavement markings,” said Mount Pleasant Area Engineer Wendy Starkes.
East Texas Bridge, Inc. of Longview was awarded the contract with a bid of $17,425,888.
Work is expected to begin in January and is scheduled to be ongoing for about a year. The estimated completion date is subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen circumstances.
