Arbor Day

The City of Linden will host a Texas Arbor Day celebration on Friday, Nov. 1, in Linden City Park, where two trees will be planted to honor the occasion. Sponsored by the Linden Garden Club, this event will feature representatives from Texas Forestry in Linden, the L-K FFA, and selected students from L-K Elementary, who will recite a poem and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The ceremony commemorates the importance of trees in our community and their lasting impact on the environment, inviting everyone to come together in celebration of nature and to contribute to a greener future for all.

The Queen City Alumni Association meets the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Amigo Juan’s. For more information contact Jean Cothren at 903-796-6108.

Annual Pot Stew

Center Grove Cemetery Community will be holding their Annual Pot Stew Nov. 2nd beginning at 5:30 p.m. until gone. For more info. call 903-399-0572, ask for Shirley.

Beans and Cornbread

Queen City Methodist Church will be serving beans and cornbread, with desserts, on Monday, November 4, from 11:00-1:00. The church is located at 304 Marietta Street. All are welcome, and there is no charge. For more information, contact Pastor Jeff Dotson at 903-826-5828.
