QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN PRINCESS: The ninth grade Princess for Queen City High School is TATUM MAY.

She is the daughter of Skylar Steger and Charlie May, and granddaughter of Shelley Steger, Loraine Cherry and Kevin Cherry Tatum is active in athletics and plans to attend college to become an anesthesiologist.

QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN PRINCE: The ninth grade Prince for Queen City High School is BRADY MAJORS.

He is the son of Brian and Kimberly Majors, and grandson of David and Lou Ann Ouzts and Terry and Stephanie Majors Brady is a member of the football team, FFA and the FCA Leadership Team.

Brady plans to attend the University of Arkansas and go into the family business - Ark-La-Tex Lawn.

QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORE PRINCESS: The 10th grade Princess for Queen City High School is AVA SHELTON.

She is the daughter of Chappy and Melissa Shelton, and granddaughter of Debbie Martin, William Martin; the late Chappy Shelton and the late Eugenia Shelton Ava is a Varsity Cheerleader, a member of Student Council and Leadership.

She plans to attend college and go into the medical field.

QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORE PRINCE: The 10th grade Prince for Queen City High School is EVAN BENSON.

He is the son of Mike and Susie Benson, and grandson of the late Warner and Shirley Finlayson, the late Patricia Benson and Charles Benson II.

Evan is a member of the Queen City High School Bass Fishing Team, FFA, Basketball Team and is an honor student.

Evan plans to attend college to work toward a bachelor’s degree.

QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR PRINCESS: The 11th grade Princess for Queen City High School is DORI SASSER.

She is the daughter of Marcus and Shalunda Sasser, and granddaughter of Jonathan and Janice Stanmore and Paula Kirby.

Dori is a member of NHS, NEPA club Volleyball, Varsity Volleyball, Basketball and track teams.

Dori plans to attend college to major in pre-med to become an anesthesiologist QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR PRINCE: The 11th grade Prince for Queen City High School is DJ HENSON.

He is the son of Teca Scott and grandson of Sharon Davis.

DJ is a member of the Varsity Football, Basketball and Track Teams. He was sixth in the State in Triple Jump and the number one sophomore in the State in the Spring of 2024.

DJ plans to attend college and continue with football or track and someday hopes to be a high school coach.

QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR HOMECOMING QUEEN NOMINEES: ALYSSA DELGADO is the daughter of Chany Towler and Jordan Delgado, and granddaughter of Patrick Towler, Christine Ledet, Dallas Smith, Kim and Adrian Delgado.

Alyssa has been a member of the Band of Champions for four years, is the treasurer of NHS, Student Council Secretary, has made all A’s Honor Roll and has made all-state in clarinet for the past two years.

Alyssa plans to attend college and major in Dental Hygiene or Nursing.

KATIE EASLEY is the daughter of Cassidy and Toby Easley, and granddaughter of Paula Oakes and Teresa and Johnny Easley.

Katie has been a member of the Student Council for 2 years, One Act Play for four years and is a 3-year member of the Queen City High School Dual Credit welding program.

Katie plans to attend the University of Arkansas in Hope and major in Mortuary Science.

ANTONIANNA GAMBLE is the daughter of the late Demeshia Gamble and Eric Mathews, and granddaughter of Bernice Gamble, Michael Kelly, Lessie Taylor and Willie Taylor.

AnTonianna has been a Varsity Cheerleader for four years, QCHS Band for three years, One Act Play for four years, Student Council for four years, and is a youth leader at New Beginnings Church of God in Christ.

She plans to attend college and someday become a pediatrician.

BRENNA TURBEVILLE is the daughter of Paul and Karen Turbeville, and granddaughter of Susan McCasland, Robert Wimberly, Judy and the late Billy Turbeville.

Brenna has played varsity volleyball and softball for four years, basketball for four years, Varsity cheerleader all four years, powerlifting for two years and is a member of NHS.

She plans to attend East Texas Baptist University and pursue a career as a dental hygienist.

PAITYNN WEEKS is the daughter of Justin and Amber Weeks, and granddaughter of Kim Cullins, David Sloan, Great Granddaughter of Marjorie and the late Eugene Sloan, and Sue and the late Clyde Berry.

Paitynn has been a member of the band of champions for four years, Varsity Cheerleader for four years, Varsity Basketball one year and Varsity Softball for one year.

She plans to attend Louisiana State University and pursue a career as an Ultrasound Technician.

QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR HOMECOMING KING NOMINEES: WILLIE GRUNDY, III is the son of Michelle Coats and Willie Grundy, Jr., and grandson of Carolyn Coats, Ricky Bell, Sheila Richardson and Willie Grundy.

Willie has participated in Varsity Football and basketball for three years, has been on the A Honor Roll all of high school and is in the Leadership Program.

Willie plans to attend college and major in sports medicine or kinesiology.

NICHOLAS PACE, JR. is the son of the late Lahisha Giddens and Nicholas Pace, Sr., and grandson of Monquic Pace, Alice Giddens, the late Raymond Parker, Eddie Pace and Sylvia Pace.

Nick has played football for four years and participated in powerlifting for two years.

Nick plans to pursue a career in welding.

CADE WARREN is the son of Phyllis and the late Brandon Warren, and grandson of Doug and Mary Ann Norton and Ruth Ann and the late Billy Wayne Warren.

Cade has been a member of the Band of Champions for all four years. He is on the Leadership Team, won a bronze medal at the State Marching Contest in 2021, has been a member of the tennis team all four years, is Student Council President, is a member of NHS and the GT program and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Team.

Cade plans to attend Texas A&M College Station to major in music and someday teach at the elementary level.

BRAYDEN WILEY is the son of Dusty and Tracey Wiley, and grandson of Jeff and Kathleen Smith and Donnie and Diane Wiley.

Brayden is a four-year member of the Varsity football and baseball teams, he has participated in track two years, powerlifting, FFA where he is a member of the Trailer Team and is active in NHS.

Brayden plans to attend college and pursue a degree in electrical engineering.
