Atlanta at Hooks
On Friday, Sept. 6, the Rabbits travel to Hooks for a meeting with the Hornets.
Atlanta and Hooks have been playing one another since 1949 and the Rabbs lead the series 27-9-1.
The Rabbs won the first 11 games of the series with the Hornets and Hooks has never had more than a 4-game winning streak against Atlanta.
The last time these two teams met was in 2019 and Hooks won that game by a touchdown.
Since the turn of the century the two teams have only played four times with Atlanta winning 3-of-4.
Hooks was 11-1, 6-0 last year and lost in the second round of the playoffs to Daingerfield.
Last week the Rabbs fell to Pleasant Grove while Hooks beat Harmony.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Linden-Kildare at Colmesneil
On Friday, Sept. 6, Linden-Kildare travels to play Colmesneil.
This is the first meeting ever between the two programs.
Linden-Kildare lost to Paul Pewitt last week and Colmesneil lost to Cushing to begin its season.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Queen City at Harleton
On Friday, Sept. 6, Queen City travels to Harleton to play the Wildcats.
The two teams have played one another on and off since 1969 and the Bulldogs hold a 7-6 series lead.
QC posted a 6-game win streak over the Wildcats in the 70’s and the teams didn’t play again until 2018, 41 years later.
Harleton has won the last four meetings. Last week the Bulldogs fell to Grace Community and Harleton fell to Arp.
Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
