TOURNAMENT PRIZE MONEY $75,000 FOR

We’re talking about the First Annual National Brian Sowers Legacy CRAPPIE Tournament and Scholarship Dinner happening October 4th and 5th in East Texas. The voice of Crappie fishing, Brian Sowers, was known by many anglers as he participated and ran tournaments throughout the US. He loved sharing his favorite fishing passion with the younger generation and was famous for saying “give a kid a tackle box, not an X-box” and saying to parents, “get outside and make memories”!

Partnering with Crappie Anglers of Texas, Crappie Masters, Marion County Commissioners Court and Patterson Pest Patrol, we are hosting in his honor, the first national annual tournament. Festivities begin on Friday, October 4th with a dinner at the Jefferson Institute. We call it “PARTY FOR A PURPOSE”. Dinner is catered by the 1852 Restaurant in Jefferson, TX. Listen to live music as you enjoy a silent and live auction, raffles, door prizes and cool split the pot games, not to mention excellent food! Space is limited, so don’t wait to get your reservation in for dinner.

The Tournament is Saturday Oct 5th on Lake O’ the Pines in Avinger, Texas with both Professional and Amateur Divisions. There will also be a Kids fishing event at Hurricane Creek Park. First 100 kids that register receive a free fishing rod and reel and loaded tackle box. All bait provided. Trophies for winners.

A nice purse for a very small entry fee. Payout in both divisions is one in five. We are currently siting at $75,000 in prize money. Entry: $125 for an Amateur team of 2; and $225 for a Professional team of 2. While weigh-in happens, get ready…the Shriner clowns will be in the crowd, lots of vendor booths, raffles, prizes AND a FREE fish fry for everybody!

As we honor the legacy of Brian Sowers and talk about great fishing memories, Let’s make new ones as we FISH ON!
