Local track stars punch tickets to State

Linden-Kildare’s Jamiah Birmingham qualified for State after placing first in the triple jump at Regionals and placing second in the long jump.

Queen City’s DJ Henson qualified for State after placing first in the triple jump at Regionals.

Atlanta’s 4x100m relay team placed second at Regionals and will compete at the State level in May. Heavy rains last week forced many Regional meets to be moved to Monday. We will have a complete breakdown of the local track athletes who made it to State in next week’s edition.
