Cass County Crew to perform at Music City
Cass County is known for its many musically talented people. Don Henley, Scott Joplin, T-bone Walker, and Hickory Hill are some of the nationally know musicians.
However, the talent doesn’t stop there, there are others who are very talented and too numerous to mention.
Cass County has always been very proud that musical talent seems to rise from the piney woods of this small county. Music is in the hearts of all who live here. Whether their talent is playing an instrument, singing, managing, being a sound tech or being a roadie for famous musicians, Cass County has lots to offer talent wise to the music industry.
National musicians love to perform at Music City Texas Theater (MCTT). They all say the acoustics in this little known venue is unbelievable. A cozy little place where everyone is treated like family.
April 20, we have a group of Linden-ites that have joined together to form a group called the Cass County Crew. What makes them so special? They are all attended Linden-Kildare High School. You can say, “It must be something in that LK Tiger water!” Musical talent comes bubbling out of Linden like oil out of the ground.
This group calling themselves, CCC is made up of David Hulme- fiddle player, Pat Roberson- acoustic guitar, bass & vocals, Cisco Mirabent- electric guitar & vocals, Tony Montoya- bass, acoustic guitar & vocals and Jason Kennedy- drums.
The group is bringing back the Country and Classic Rock sound to the stage of MCTT.
Opening for them will be another life-time Linden- ite, Jonathan Cornett with his rendition of music mixed with comedy and storytelling.
This is a show that you will not want to miss, so save the date and make every effort to be there.
CCC would like to recognize in song the efforts of another Linden- ite, Reagan Watson who is well known for his contribution as roadie/ road manager for artist such as Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, John Denver, and Asleep at the Wheel. The group will be performing a number entitled, “Uncertain, Texas” written by Rodney Crowell and performed by Guy Clark.
Tickets for the event are $20 and are on sale on the WWW.musiccitytexas. org/shows website or call the Box Office at 903-756-9934.
Tables are available with the purchase of minimum of six tickets.
