ATLANTA

Atlanta’s varsity track program competed in the Paul Parr Relays on Mar. 28, at Liberty-Eylau High School.

Varsity Boys

In the 200m dash Cooper Swanson placed third at 22.67; in the 800m run Chris Swanson placed second at 2:05.85 and Ian Bard placed fifth at 2:11.46; in the 1600m run Chris Swanson placed fourth and Ethan Scott fifth with times of 5:00.11 and 5:01.00 respectively; in the 3200m run Scott placed third at 11:25.41; in the 110m hurdles Sye Stroman placed second at 15.92 and Marquavion Owens placed fourth at 17.61 and in the 300m hurdles Stroman and Owens placed 3-4 with times of 40.14 and 42.80 respectively.

The 4x200m relay team of Marquayvious Richardson, Eli Riojas, Kayden Linwood and Cooper Swanson placed fourth at 1:30.10 and the 4x400m relay team of Richardson, Stroman, Riojas and Linwood placed second at 3:28.70.

In long jump Owens placed second at 21 feet, 1 inch; in triple jump Owens placed second at 42 feet, 3 inches; in high jump Aidan Boston placed second at 6 feet, 6 inches; in shot Kheaton Kinney placed third at 41 feet, 6 1/2 inches and in pole vault Chris Swanson placed third at 11 feet, 6 inches.

Varsity Girls

The varsity girls placed third overall but were just nine points from a second-place finish.

In the 100m dash JD Larry, Makaylin King and Markavia Garner placed 3-4-5 with times of 12.60, 12.69 and 12.90 respectively; in the 200m dash King placed fourth at 27.06; in the 400m dash Garner placed third at 1:02.51; in the 1600m run Aurelia Giesler placed second at 5:56.00, in the 3200m run Lucy Ransom placed second; in the 100m hurdles Kym Sheppard placed second at 16.82, Ameila Jones placed third at 17.87 and Elliana Edwards placed fifth at 18.86 and in the 300m hurdles Sheppard placed second at 50.34, Jones placed third at 50.37 and Edwards placed sixth at 52.11.

The 4x100m relay team of Toya Hurd, Larry, AnneMarie Hanner and Shamijala Gillam placed second at 48.23; the 4x200m relay team of Skylar Spencer, Hurd, Hanner and Gillam placed third at 1:43.25 and the 4x400m relay team of Spencer, Garner, Hurd and Hanner placed second at 4:11.68.

In shot Larry placed fourth at 32 feet, 5 inches; in discus Cha’Nya Clark placed third at 90 feet, 3 inches and in high jump Caitlynn Bailey placed second at 5 feet even.

JV Boys

The JV boys’ team placed third at the meet.

In the 100m dash Braylin Rowe placed second at 11.23; in the 400m dash Landon Thomas placed fourth at 56.13; in the 800m run Grant Allen placed first at 2:17.03, Napolean cook placed fifth at 2:24.51 and Cass Clark placed sixth at 2:29.47; in the 1600m run Campbell Autrey placed first at 5:14.00 and Allen placed second at 5:19.00 and in the 3200m run Allen placed first at 11:26.24.

The 4x100m relay team of Marshawn Woodberry, Rowe, Derrick Talton and Kaleb Francisco placed fifth at 45.17; the 4x200m relay team of Christian Warren, Woodberry, Talton and Francisco placed fifth at 1:40.18 and the 4x400m relay team of Kason Byrd, Warren, Talton and Francisco placed fourth at 3:47.21. In discus Tevin Thursby placed first at 107 feet, 10 1/2 inches and in shot Kam Williams placed first at 39 feet, 9 1/2 inches and Thursby placed third at 37 5 1/2 inches.

JV Girls

Atlanta’s JV girls’ squad captured first place over Pleasant Grove, Paris and L-E with a whopping 151 points.

In the 100m dash Ke’Mauri Johnson placed second at 13.38; in the 200m dash Gracie McWilliams placed second at 27.48 and Johnson placed fourth at 28.24; in the 400m dash Jaliyah Gordon and Serenity Duckett finished 1-2 with times of 1:04.06 and 1:05.25 respectively; in the 100m hurdles Ryleigh Thompson and Chloe Puckett placed 1-2 with times of 17.99 and 19.27 respectively; in the 300m hurdles Thompson placed third and Puckett fourth with times of 55.04 and 56.05 respectively; in the 800m run Addie Giesler and McWilliams placed 3-4 with times of 2:58.25 and 3:01.96 respectively and in the 1600m run Giesler placed second at 6:24.00.

The 4x100m relay team of Gordon, Breonna Phelps, Duckett and Johnson placed first at 52.15 and the 4x400m relay team of Gordon, McWilliams, Phelps and Duckett placed first at 4:29.47.

In long jump Serenity Webster placed second with a toss of 14 feet, 1 inch; in shot Kenya Simmons placed sixth at 24 feet, 8 inches and in discus Yr’Kyya Nard placed first at 76 feet, 4 inches and Ryleigh Paige placed second at 72 feet, 1 1/2 inches.

Atlanta JV B Team

For the Atlanta B team Zion Bickham placed fifth and Makayla Davis placed sixth in the 100m dash at 13.61 and 13.68 respectively; in the 200m dash Davis placed third at 27.94 and the 4x400m relay team of Davis, Ryleigh Thompson, Chloe Puckett and Bickham placed third at 4:53.76.
