Atlanta’s track program competed in the Lobo Relays

JV Boys

Atlanta’s track program competed in the Lobo Relays hosted by Longview High School on Mar. 7.

The 4x100m relay team of Markeylin Batton, Marshawn Woodberry, Braylin Rowe and Cooper Swanson placed fifth at 43.28, the 4x200m relay team of Kayden Linwood, Batton, Woodberry and Swanson placed second at 1:30.79, the 4x400m relay team of Chase Kindred, Linwood, Sye Stroman and Andrew Allen placed sixth at 3:34.35 and in the 300m hurdles Stroman placed sixth at 41.49.

In long jump Marquavion Owens placed third at 20 feet even, in triple jump Owens placed first at 42 feet, 4 inches, in high jump Aidan Boston placed second at 6 feet, 2 inches and in pole vault Chris Swanson placed fourth at 12 feet even.

Varsity Girls

In the 100m dash JD Larry placed fourth at 13.11, in the 200m dash Toya Hurd placed fourth at 26.16 and Larry placed sixth at 26.89, in the 400m dash Markavia Garner placed sixth at 1:05.15, in the 100m hurdles Kym Sheppard placed second at 17.65 and Elliana Edwards placed sixth at 18.21 and in the 300m hurdles Amelia Jones placed sixth at 51.86.

The 4x100m relay team of Hurd, Anne Marie Hanner, Larry and Skylar Spencer placed second at 49.41, the 4x200m relay team of Aysia Heard, Hurd, Hanner and Spencer placed fourth at 1:46.08 and the 4x400m relay team of Garner, Heard, Hanner and Spencer placed third at 4:17.31.

In shot Larry placed fifth with a toss of 32 feet, 3 1/4 inches and in high jump Caitlynn Bailey placed fifth at 5 feet even.

In the 200m dash TJ Hamilton placed third at 23.60, in the 800m run Ian Bard placed first at 2:08.63, in the 1600m run Bard placed second at 5:00.88, in shot Kam Williams placed second with a toss of 41 feet, 4 inches and in discus Tevin Thursby placed fourth with a heave of 102 feet, 1 inch.

JV Girls

In the 200m dash Serenity Duckett placed second at 27.85, in the 400m dash Jaliyah Gordon placed second at 1:05.11, in the 1600m run Ella Stewart placed third at 6:09.58 and Ryleigh Thompson placed third in 100m hurdles at 18.61 and fourth in 300m hurdles at 54.47.

The 4x200m relay team of Chloe Puckett, Gracie McWilliams, Ke’Mauri Johnson and Breonna Phelps placed fifth at 1:53.70 and the 4x400m relay team of Abby Morales, Brooklyn Thompson, McWilliams and Gordon placed first at 4:35.00.

Linden-Kildare hosted the Bill Hines Relays on Mar. 7, and competitors from Bloomburg and McLeod took part in the meet.

Varsity Girls Linden-Kildare

L-K’s varsity girls’ group placed first overall with 127 points, James Bowie earned 105, Elysian Fields 87.5, Clarksville 70, Hughes Springs 60 and Waskom 58.

Other schools who competed were Hallsville, Bloomburg, McLeod, Maud and Avinger.

In the 200m dash Summer Gibson placed fourth at 27.52, in the 100m hurdles Maggee Winters placed third at 18.21 and teammate Alexis Armstrong placed fifth at 18.60 and in the 300m hurdles Winters placed second at 52.53 and Jacee Quaid placed fourth at 53.49.

The Lady Tigers nearly swept the relays as the 4x100m relay team of Gibson, Madi Bynum, Kalysa Roberts and Jamiah Birmingham placed second at 51.10, the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed first at 1:49.67 and the 4x400m relay team of Winters, Bynum, Roberts and Birmingham placed first at 4:25.12.

In long jump Birmingham placed second at 15 feet, 8 inches, in triple jump Birmingham placed first at 34 feet, 9 1/2 inches and Armstrong placed third at 31 feet, 11 1/2 inches, in high jump Quaid placed fifth at 4 feet, 4 inches, in discus Rylee Burns placed second at 96 feet, 6 inches and Charington Taylor placed sixth at 75 feet, 8 inches and in shot Taylor placed second with a toss of 29 feet, 4 3/4 inche and Devonna Linwood placed fourth with a toss of 28 feet, 8 inches.

Bloomburg

Jacee Glasgow won first place in the 100m hurdles at 17.37 and Cassie Glasgow placed second in triple jump at 32 feet,1 inch and fourth in long jump with a mark of 14 feet, 6 1/2 inches.

McLeod

In the 200m dash Lila McKnight placed fifth at 28.03, in the 400m dash McKnight placed fifth at 1:05.96, in the 3200m run Natalie Jeter placed sixth at 18:41.36 and the 4x400m relay team of Neely Hale, McKnight, Riley Parker and Maddy Blair placed third at 4:46.13.

Varsity Boys Linden-Kildare

In the 100m dash DaQuavious Richardson placed fifth at 11.78, in the 200m dash Keegan Salers placed fifth at 25.51, in the 400m dash Logan Grandmaison placed second at 57.56 and Salers fourth at 58,38 and in the 3200m run Eberardo Padilla placed fifth at 13:29.26.

McLeod

In the 200m dash Jaxon Smith placed first at 24.54 and Kannon Dempsey second at 25.24, in the 800m run TJ Klingensmith placed fourth at 2:17.51 and Dylan Bouchard placed sixth at 2:18.46, and the 4x400m relay team of Dempsey, Grayson Owens, Bouchard and Smith placed third at 3:46.01.

JV Boys McLeod

In the 800m run Dylan Smith and Ben Parker placed 2-3 at 2:30.81 and 2:36.75 respectively, in the 110m hurdles Malachi Rhodes placed first at 19.89, in the 300m hurdles Rhodes placed third at 53.76, in long jump Clay Hartsell placed fifth at 15 feet, 7 inches, in discus Nathan Hall placed sixth at 79 feet, 11 inches and in shot Heath Shelton placed third at 35 feet, 10 1/2 inches and Cason Cook placed fourth at 33 feet, 10 inches.
