The Cass County Genealogical Society will meet Thursday, February 8th 2024 for their Membership Meeting.

At our February meeting our Guest Speaker will be Raydeen Edwards with a special presentation about the “Buffalo Solders” for “Black History Month”. You don’t want to miss this interesting and in-formative program.

The meeting will start at 12:00 noon, lunch will be served at 12:30 pm and the program will start at 1:00 pm, and we hope that as many of you as possible will join us for this program, and please feel free to bring a friend.

The meeting will be held in our usual location, The Fellowship Hall of The Methodist Church of Queen City at Marietta and Fourth Streets, Queen City, Texas.

As always we will serve a light meal and beverages and the public is always invited.

Senior Center

The Mary Daugherty Senior Citizens Center is open all week for anyone who would like to join the group there for bingo, exercise, crocheting and a meal.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday exercise is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

On Tuesday crocheting is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 to 11:30. On Thursday bingo is from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by eating from 10:45 to 11:30.

Every third Friday of the month they have “Birthday Friday” where they celebrate birthdays and have cake for those present. That normally begins at 10:45.
