Refuse to Lose

Have you ever watched a sporting event where someone who was overpowered somehow fought their way back to win?

Have you ever known someone who wouldn’t give up, give in or quit?

Have you ever seen someone defy the odds and get victory when everything was stacked against them?

In those occurrences they refused to lose! How many people do you know, Christians even, who feel like they have already lost? They’ve given up. They’ve quit. They’re done.

It’s no secret that the devil wants us to fail, fall, give in, quit, walk away, accept defeat, lose.

If we submit or give way to the devil then we have lost. His job is to get our minds and hearts as far away from God as possible.

The Word says that “the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not” and that “the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.”

What can happen if we quit, walk away or give in to the enemy?

The Word says that “every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.”

Nothing makes the devil happier than watching Children of God fall. Walk away. Give up hope. Stop believing.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

The devil is a crafty serpent who uses deception. He wants us to doubt, question everything, fear, give up, walk away.

The Word says that “we are not ignorant of his devices.”

Don’t let the enemy confuse, you, taunt you, deceive you, accuse you, make you turn away from God.

The Word says that “no weapon formed against thee shall prosper.”

The devil doesn’t want us to do what God has called us to do.

There is victory in Jesus! He didn’t go to the cross for nothing. He didn’t die a sacrificial death for us to turn away and give in to the devil.

He defeated the devil, death, hell, demons, dark powers, evil spirits all at the cross!

Don’t give up or give in! Fight the good fight! Refuse to lose!

We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us!

If you get knocked down, get up and keep going! If the devil takes your feet out from under you and you stumble, keep going!

Philippians 3:13-14 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

When God is involved the enemy stands no chance against us. If He be for us who can stand against us?

He is our help! He is our safety net! He is our victory!

Psalms 44:5 - Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

We have a choice to make. We can let the enemy run roughshod over us, get us down, tear us apart, destroy us.

Or we can stand on God’s Word, stand on His promises, fight the good fight, finish the race and refuse to lose!

Giving everything to God is crucial. With Him we cannot lose! The gates of hell shall not prevail!

Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Remind the devil of his end! Revelation 20:10 - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Refuse to be intimidated, scared, worried, depressed, hopeless, frustrated, confused and condemned! Refuse to lose!
