AMS boys’ hoops take three from DeKalb

On Monday, Nov. 13, the Rabbits were off and running as they opened their season with three wins versus the DeKalb Bears. Atlanta won the eighth-grade contest 44-4, getting 10 points from Jaylen Henderson. Hayes Highland, TJ Rainey and Jamario Crawford all added eight each; Noah Sheffield, Deondrae Simmons and Drake Fagan also got multiple buckets for the Rabbs.

Outscored early 0-14, the seventh-grade Rabbits came storming back to take the lead in the fourth, but ultimately fell to the Bears, 21-24. Kelvin Roberson led the way for Atlanta with seven, while Aiden Shields and Ayden Washington added five each.

Both Rabbit B teams were victorious to start the night’s action. 7B won 36-14, led by Levi Cook’s eight points; Mason Gibson and Jaxon Durmon added six each.

8B prevailed 23-7. Colt Engle had five, while Logan Johnson and Ean Riojas had four each.
