LION of JUDAH

Hello everyone, I got some of this information from the book, PRAYING THE NAMES OF JESUS. Only once in the New Testament is Jesus described as a lion.

Revelation 5:5; And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not, behold the lion of the tribe of Judah the root of David has prevailed to open the book and to loose the 7 seals thereof.

Lions are known as king of the jungle, they defend and protect their territory and their pack, they are strong, courageous and powerful.

The lion of Judah is Jesus, the king of kings, He defends and protects his sheep, He is strong, courageous and powerful.

1 Timothy 6:15; Which in his times he shall show who is the blessed and only Potentate (ruler), the King of kings, and the Lord of lords.

Psalm 5:11; But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice, let them ever shout for joy, because thou defend them, let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Deuteronomy 20:4; For the Lord your God is he that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Judah is one of the 12 tribes of Israel. He is one of Joseph’s brothers.

Judah’s family tree: Matthew 1:17; from Abraham to David are 14 generations, from David to Babylon captivity are 14 generations, from Babylon captivity to Jesus are 14 generations.

The Bible proves that Jesus is from the tribe of Judah.
