Queen City graduate Clare Wong was one of the scholarship recipients awarded by Texas Rural Education Association (TREA) for the 2022-2023 school year. A banquet honoring all scholarship recipients was held on June 26, at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock, Texas.
Clare was selected as one of the four scholarship winners to be keynote speakers as part of a discussion/chat panel. The moderators asked the speakers to share their experiences as students in a rural district in Texas, the impact on their life and how it shaped their future plans.
