Bloomburg Mid-Summer Bash set for June 24
Bloomburg has combined the old and the new once again into a ‘Mid-Summer Bash’ that will take place downtown all day on Saturday, June 24th. The first thing to look forward to is the opening of the old Trading Post that has been closed since Mr. Ed Simmons passed away. There will be booths where you can buy garage sale items or new arts and crafts. Also, playground equipment and bouncy houses will be provided for the children. Food will be handy for everybody as well.
To avoid confusion, says the organizer, “First let’s have a look at the Cullen Baker Committee that is bringing you this new mid-summer event. There is always a need for fundraising in small towns. Improvements can’t be made without them. And for sure the town’s blockbuster event in November...The Cullen Baker Fair...will vigorously return with pizzazz, grit, and determination...the first Saturday in November. Till then, the only fund-raiser on the Bloomburg horizon....is the Summer Bash for all day on June 24. It’s designed to be a laidback event with plenty of interest.”
The organizers also encourage the area to come out and participate. “The community needs you.”
Here are the rules and regulations for vendors and others: .....Drop your email in the comments if you are interested in a booth space. They are $20.00 each.
.....Limited space is available and you must live within a 30-mile radius of Bloomburg to participate.
.....You can sell any item, including garage sale items. Vendors must provide their own tables and tents for each 10’ x 10’ booth space.
.....Hours for the event are 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
While there will be much for adults to do...for instance, ‘Shop Till You Drop’, the Summer Bash is really about and for...children. Two bouncy houses will be available to keep them busy. Kids can jump to their heart’s content... all day for $5.00. And the food vendors have already signed up.
Proceeds from the summer bash will go toward the building of a children’s park.
