Fundraiser for Law’s Chapel
Law’s Chapel Methodist Church will have outdoor music and concessions Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in an effort to raise funds to help with the cost of repairs after a storm in early April saw a large oak tree fall through the roof of the sanctuary.
Law’s Chapel is located at 4065 Farm to Market Road 2328 and has been a longstanding pillar of the community.
On April 5, a large oak tree situated to the right of the church fell through and damaged half the sanctuary after a bout of heavy rain and wind storms.
On Saturday, The NightHawk Band, as well as pastor Mike Akin on drums, will perform at 6:00 p.m. as church members work to sell concessions to help raise money to go toward the church’s insurance deductible.
Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended for the event, which will be staged on the church’s lawn.
