Focused Care Family Night and a visit from a king
Focused Care at Linden held a Family Night last Tuesday, with residents receiving a visit from the King of Rock-n-Roll himself just two days later.
Family Night at Focused Care at Linden provided community residents and their families with fun, food, and entertainment Tuesday, May 16th as they enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, and a live band in the pavilion at the back of the building.
The Bowden/Early Experience played for the crowd an array of country, rock, and even bluegrass as folks kicked back to enjoy the music, a meal, and nice evening weather together.
The facility became mask-free the previous Friday and Activity Director Terri Coe said it was nice to hold their second community event since COVID began in the spring of 2020.
Coe was jamming out to the music while manning the grill with Suzanne Phillips, executive director of operations by her side.
“We’ve had a really nice crowd for family night,” Coe said. Phillips agreed it was nice to open the doors and have family come out to visit and see community residents enjoying themselves.
Residents were paying rapt attention to the band as they clapped and swayed along to the music.
Later in the week, the residents were surprised by an Elu vis impersonator who handed out scarves to residents and performed for them. By the time Elvis left the building, there were a lot of smiling faces.
