Texarkana College offers 12-week certificate program for medication aide

In addition, Ms. Grider also taught the health science program at DeKalb ISD for 10 years. Her passion for training students for allied healthcare professions is evident in her teaching style and commitment to student success.
Ms. Grider brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom, having worked in various healthcare settings throughout her career. She has a deep understanding of the importance of medication safety and the critical role that medication aides play in ensuring the well-being of patients.
In addition to Ms. Grider’s instruction, students will have access to current technology and resources to support their learning. The program includes hands-on training with medication administration equipment and simulation labs, as well as access to online resources and textbooks.
Upon completion of the program, students will be well-prepared to take the medication aide certification exam and begin a career in medication administration. Graduates of the program will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
