Atlanta sweeps 14-3A district track meet
Atlanta and Queen City competed in the 14-3A district track meet on Apr. 12
Atlanta
Atlanta swept district as the varsity boys racked up 229 points, the varsity girls put up 210 points and the JV boys earned 211 points.
Varsity Boys
In the 100m dash Kam Dickerson placed fifth at 11.62 and Ahmani Jackson placed sixth at 11.67, in the 200m dash Markeylin Batton placed second at 22.27, Cooper Swanson placed fourth at 22.85 and Jackson placed sixth at 23.46, in the 400m dash Eli Riojas placed second at 52.05 and Dickerson placed fifth at 53.01, in the 110m hurdles Stacy Darty placed second at 16.05, Sye Stroman placed third at 17.16 and Marquayvious Richardson placed fourth at 18.30 and in the 300m hurdles Darty placed first at 40.07, Stroman placed fourth at 42.15 and Richardson placed sixth at 45.67.
In the 800m run Matthew Morin, Chris Swanson and Ian Bard placed 1-2-3 with times of 2:03.41, 2:05.36 and 2:12.05 respectively, in the 1600m run Morin placed first at 4:52.08, Swanson placed third at 4:59.03 and Campbell Autrey placed fourth at 5:09.48 and in the 3200m run Morin placed first at 11:00.81, Swanson placed third at 11:17.06 and Autrey placed fourth at 11:31.82.
The Runnin’ Rabbs swept the relays. The 4x100m team of Cooper Swanson, Batton, Isaiah Chandler and JaBranden Wells placed first at 41.50, the 4x200m team of the same lineup placed first at 1:26.72 and the 4x4 team of Riojas, Darty, Chandler and Wells placed first at 3:24.92.
In long jump Dickerson placed fourth at 21 feet, 3 inches and Marquavius Owens placed fifth at 21 feet, 2 inches, in triple jump Darty placed first at 44 feet, 7 1/2 inches and Owens placed second at 43 feet, 6 1/4 inches, in high jump Aidan Boston placed first at 6 feet, 2 inches, in pole vault Chris Swanson placed fifth at 10 feet even and in shot Caden Walker placed first at 45 feet, 10 1/2 inches.
Varsity Girls
In the 100m dash JD Larry placed first at 12.77 and AnneMarie Hanner placed fifth at 13.47, in the 200m dash Makaylin King placed fourth at 27.51 and Shamijala Gillam placed fifth at 27.59, in the 400m dash Aysia Heard placed second at 1:03.50, Markavia Garner placed third at 1:03.74 and Makayla Martin placed fifth at 1:04.19, in the 100m hurdles Elliana Edwards placed first at 17.52, Ameila Jones placed fifth at 18.58 and Ryleigh Thompson placed sixth at 18.98 and in the 300m hurdles Jones placed third at 50.40, Edwards placed fourth at 52.32 and Jaliyah brown placed sixth at 54.82.
In the 800m run Kaylon “KP” Partain placed first at 2:29.56 and Addie Giesler placed fifth at 2:43.56, in the 1600m run Lucy Ransom, Ella Stewart and Aurelia Giesler placed 1-2-3 with times of 5:42.51, 5:51.62 and 6:04.80 respectively, and in the 3200m run Ransom placed first at 12:53.07, Stewart placed second at 13:10.48 and Emma Allen placed third at 14:07.84.
The Lady Runnin’ Rabbs swept the relays. The 4x100m team of Gillam, JD Larry, King and Toya Hurd placed first at 49.14, the 4x200m team of the same lineup placed first at 1:45.60 and the 4x4 team of KP, Hurd, AnneMarie Hanner and Garner placed first at 4:16.87.
In long jump Larry placed third with a mark of 16 feet even and King placed fourth at 15 feet, 11 inches, in high jump Caitlyn Bailey placed first at 4 feet, 10 1/2 inches, in discus Chanya Clark placed fifth at 88 feet, 9 1/2 inches and in shot Keymya Smith placed first at 34 feet, 7 1/2 inches.
JV Boys
In the 100m dash Bralyn Rowe placed first at 11.60, Jalarion Andrews placed third at 12.00 and Omareia Kinney placed fifth at 12.25, in the 200m dash Marshawn Woodberry placed first at 23.09, Rowe placed second at 23.91 and Kayden Linwood placed fifth at 24.54, in the 400m dash Chase Kindred placed first at 55.08, Kason Byrd placed fourth at 58.55 and Aden Bolt placed fifth at 59.97 and in the 300m hurdles Christian Warren placed first at 46.57.
In the 800m run Andrew Allen, Brennon Allen and Will Davis placed 1-2-3 with times of 2:10.89, 2:17.76 and 2:18.06, in the 1600m run Andrew placed first at 5:14.53, Owen Flint placed second at 5:15.29 and Ethan Scott placed third at 5:15.76 and in the 3200m run Scott placed first at 11:41.69, Flint placed second at 11:48.15 and Grant Allen placed third at 11:48.68.
The young Ruinnin’ Rabbs swept the relays. The 4x100m team of Andrews, Rowe, Woodberry and Kindred placed first at 44.72, the 4x200m team of Andrews, Kinney, Warren and Linwood placed first at 1”36.89 and the 4x4 team of Woodberry, Kindred, Linwood and Byrd placed first at 3:43.92.
In long jump Toddy Webster placed fourth at 17 feet, 2 1/4 inches, in high jump Rowe placed first at 5 feet, 4 inches and in shot Marcellus Kirk placed sixth at 30 feet, 11 inches.
Queen City
Both Queen City’s varsity girls and JV boys’ teams placed second overall and the varsity boys tied for third.
Varsity Boys
In the 400m dash Trent Granberry placed first at 51.48, in the 110m hurdles Trevonne Horsley placed fifth at 18.75 and Sebastian Aleman placed sixth at 19.81, in the 800m run Caleb Kimble placed sixth at 2:17.26 and Xavier Allison placed sixth in both the 1600m run and the 3200m run with times of 5:24.80 and 12:31.34.
The 4x100m relay team of Granberry, DJ Henson, Delvon Federick and Nicolas Herring placed third at 43.85, the 4x200m relay team of Daketrick Smith, Henson, Federick and Herring placed third at 1:32.38 and the 4x4 relay team of Federick, Granberry, Herring and Henson placed third at 3:31.84.
In long jump Henson placed sixth at 19 feet, 11 1/2 inches, in triple jump Henson placed third at 43 feet, 4 1/4 inches and Federick placed sixth at 40 feet, 5 inches, in pole vault Jeremiah Henderson placed fourth at 11 feet even and Isaac Thomas placed sixth at 9 feet, 6 inches and in discus Leevi Byrum placed second at 122 feet, 7 1/2 inches, Noah Williams placed fourth at 111 feet, 6 inches and Kameron Wright placed fifth at 108 feet, 10 inches.
Varsity Girls
In the 100m dash Cassidy Johnson placed fourth at 13.22, in the 400m dash Serenity Oden placed sixth at 1:06.30, in the 800m run Adalyn Tyson placed sixth at 2:45.87, in the 100m hurdles Lola Gladden placed fourth at 18.45 and in the 300m hurdles Toni McCellon placed first at 47.97.
The 4x100m relay team of Johnson, McCellon, Oden and Amyia Young placed third at 51.86 and the 4x4 relay team of McCellon, Erica Lavoie, Oden and Jamecia Cook placed third at 4:30.14.
In triple jump Johnson placed first at 36 feet, 3 1/2 inches, in high jump McCellon placed fourth at 4 feet, 6 inches, in pole vault Reagan Hargrave placed second at 6 feet even and in discus Gracie Alexander placed first at 99 feet, 9 1/2 inches, Makenna Hamilton placed fourth at 89 feet, 7 inches and Lavoie placed sixth at 85 feet, 8 1/2 inches.
JV Boys
In the 400m dash Keegan Salers placed second at 57.59 and Hunter Parker placed sixth at 1:00.81, in the 800m run Wyatt Peacock placed sixth at 2:30.80, in the 1600m run Cole Byrd placed fifth at 6:00.38 and TJ Guest placed sixth at 6:05.06 and in the 300m hurdles Tavon Andrews placed sixth at 51.35.
The 4x100m relay team of Byrd, Rylee Green, Salers and Brayden Wiley placed fourth at 47.44, the 4x200m relay team of Byrd, Green, Jason Joffray and Wiley placed fifth at 1:40.31 and the 4x400m relay team of Byrd, Joffray, Parker and Wiley placed third at 3:55.37.
In long jump Green placed first at 18 feet, 11 inches and Wiley placed fifth at 16 feet, 4 3/4 inches, triple jump Andrews placed first at 38 feet, 2 3/4 inches and Wiley placed third at 36 feet, 5 3/4 inches, in high jump Andrews placed second at 5 feet, 2 inches, in discus Kordell Federick placed fifth at 85 feet, 7 1/2 inches, in shot Elijah Adams placed second at 33 feet, 11 1/4 inches and in pole vault Parker placed first at 9 feet even.
