Eighth Grade Girls

Atlanta

Atlanta’s middle school track teams placed well in New Boston on Mar. 27, and the high school teams all placed well at the Paul Parr Relays in Liberty-Eylau on Mar. 30.

Varsity Boys

The varsity boys’ team placed first ahead of Pleasant Grove, Mount Pleasant, Paris, L-E, Pittsburg and Daingerfield.

In the 100m dash Ahmani Jackson placed sixth at 11.49, in the 200m dash Cooper Swanson placed second at 22,99 and Kam Dickerson placed fourth at 23.22, in the 400m dash Eli Riojas placed first at 52.43, Allen Leach placed fourth at 54.34 and Jackson placed sixth at 55.69, in the 110m hurdles Stacy Darty placed third at 14.46 and in the 300m hurdles Darty placed first at 41.43, Sye Stroman was fourth at 43.13 and Marquayvious Richardson placed sixth at 43.45.

In the 1600m run Chris Swanson placed third at 4:54.56 and in the 3200m run Swanson placed sixth at 11:12.44.

Atlanta swept the relays. The 4x100m relay team of Isaiah Chandler, JaBranden Wells, Markeylin Batton and Cooper Swanson placed first at 41.78, the 4x200m relay team of Dickerson, Wells, Batton and Cooper Swanson placed first at 1:27.90 and the 4x4 relay team of Chandler, Wells, Darty and Riojas placed first at 3:25.27.

In long jump Dickerson placed first at 20 feet, 5 inches and Shayden Williams placed fifth at 19 feet, 5 1/2 inches, in high jump Aidan Boston placed fourth at 5 feet, 10 inches, in pole vault Chris Swanson placed fourth at 9 feet even and in shot Caden Walker placed second at 45 feet, 3 inches.

Varsity Girls

The varsity girls placed second behind a large team from Paris.

In the 200m dash Makaylin King placed second at 27.11, in the 400m dash Markavia Garner placed sixth at 1:04.90, in the 100m hurdles Elliana Edwards placed fourth at 18.26 and Amelia Jones placed fifth at 18.34 and in the 300m hurdles Jones placed fourth at 50.47 and Edwards placed sixth at 52.11.

In the 800m run Kaylon “KP” Partain placed second at 2:28.88 and Lucy Ransom placed third at 2:35.93, in the 1600m run Ransom placed first at 5:44.40, Aurelia Giesler placed third at 6:06.84 and Ella Stewart placed fourth at 6:08.01 and in the 3200m run Stewart placed second at 13:15.76.

The 4x100m relay team of Toya Hurd, King, JD Larry and Shamijala Gillam placed second at 48.79, the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed second at 1:46.11 and the 4x4 relay team of Anne Marie Hanner, Hurd, Larry and KP placed second at 4:19.31.

In high jump Caitlynn Bailey placed first at 5 feet, 2 inches, in discus Chanya Clark placed fifth at 85 feet, 4 inches and in shot Janeisha Fields placed sixth at 30 feet, 11 inches.

JV Boys

The JV boys’ team placed second behind PG.

In the 200m dash Bralyn Rowe placed fourth at 24.05, in the 400m dash Ian Bard placed sixth at 57.26, and Marquavion Owens placed second at 17.77 in the 110m hurdles and second at 45.27 in the 300m hurdles.

In the 800m run Bard placed second at 2:15.64 and Will Davis placed fourth at 2:19.25, in the 1600m run Davis placed third at 5:18.89 and Owen Flint placed fifth at 5:19.97 and in the 3200m run Flint placed second at 11:39.27, Andrew Allen placed fourth at 12:16.17 and Grant Allen placed fifth at 12:32.52.

The 4x100m relay team of Chase Kindred, Rowe, Marshawn Woodberry and Jalarion Andrews placed second at 44.84, the 4x200m relay team of Kindred, Rowe, Woodberry and Jayden Riley placed first at 1:34.02 and the 4x400m relay team of Bard, Kindred, Woodberry and Owens placed third at 3:48.16.

In long jump Riley placed first at 19 feet, 8 inches and Owens placed third at 18 feet, 8 inches and in triple jump Owens placed first at 39 feet, 8 inches.

JV Girls

The JV girls’ team placed second behind Paris.

In the 100m dash Zariah Johnson placed sixth at 13.90, in the 200m dash Aysia Heard placed third at 28.14 and Johnson placed fourth at 29.37, in the 400m dash Breonna Phelps placed first at 1:07.27 and Serenity Duckett placed fourth at 1:09.51, in both the 100m and 300m hurdles Ryleigh Thompson placed first with times of 18.24 and 53.62, in the 1600m run Laura De Perianes placed first at 6:24.24 and Addie Giesler placed second at 6:36.81 and in shot Ryleigh Paige placed sixth at 26 feet, 2 inches.

The 4x100m relay team of Johnson, Aysia Heard, Phelps and KK Wells placed second at 52.85, the 4x200m relay team of Wells, Kayden Allen, Bri’lynn Allen and Alaija Starling placed fifth at 2:04.32 and the 4x4m relay team of Brooklyn Thompson, Heard, Thompson and Phelps placed first at 4:37.96.

Seventh Grade Boys

The seventh-grade boys’ team racked up 204 points to Hooks’ second-place tally of 84.

In the 100m dash Jamario Crawford placed second at 12.37, TJ Rainey was fourth at 12.49 and Julian Johnson placed sixth at 12.87, in the 200m dash Ean Riojas placed sixth at 28.31, in the 400m dash Cannon Hammonds placed first at 1:01.84 and Breckin Wells placed second at 1:03.40, in the 100m hurdles Drake Fagan placed second at 19.23 and Dayton Havard placed third at 19.612 and in the 300m hurdles Fagan placed third at 52.28, Havard placed fourth at 54.65 and Hayes Highland placed sixth at 55.82.

In the 800m run Highland placed second at 2:40.35, in the 1600m run Noah Sheffield placed second at 6:00.03 and Jayden McCullough placed fourth at 6:27.10 and in the 2400m run Sheffield placed second at 9:37.00 and McCullough placed fifth at 10:20.00.

The 4x100m relay team of Wells, Riojas, Rainey and Dre Simmons placed second at 51.30, the 4x200m relay team of Crawford, Riojas, Rainey and Simmons placed first at 1:46.59 and the 4x4 team of Hammonds, Jack Shew, Wells and Simmons placed first at 4:16.53.

In long jump Simmons placed second at 16 feet, 9 inches and Crawford placed third at 16 feet, 7 inches, in high jump Simmons placed second at 5 feet, 2 inches, in triple jump Rainey place first with a mark of 33 feet, 5 1/2 inches, in discus Riojas placed second at 96 feet, 9 inches and Hammonds placed third at 94 feet, 4 inches and in shot Riojas placed first at 33 feet, 9 inches and Hammonds placed third at 33 feet, 8 inches.

Seventh Grade Girls

Both the seventh grade and eighth grade girls’ teams literally ran away with titles.

In the 100m dash Sariyah Williams placed fifth at 13.78, in the 200m dash Sasha Ramirez placed first at 27.84, Williams placed third at 30.09 and Makayla Collins placed fifth at 30.65, in the 400m dash Kaylee Cupples placed first at 1:11.59, in the 100m hurdles Makayla Turner placed third at 19.62 and in the 300m hurdles Chloe Simms placed second at 1:0043, Tamara Pearson placed fifth at 1:01.65 and Harper Highland placed sixth at 1:02.31.

In the 800m run Cupples placed first at 2:49.93 and Kira Scott placed fifth at 3:11.62, in the 1600m run Jaylee Phillips placed second at 6:49.86, Lilliana Mendez placed fourth at 7:19.71 and Meredith Turner placed fifth at 7:39.03, in the 2400m run Landry Peace placed second at 10:54.00 and Phillips placed third at 11:03.93 and in long jump Simms placed third at 12 feet, 11 1/2 inches and Ahlayla Noble placed sixth at 12 feet, 9 1/4 inches.

Atlanta swept the relays. The 4x100m team of Noble, Kherington Baca, Turner and Ramirez placed first at 54.50, the 4x200m team of Noble, Baca, Collins and Ramirez placed first at 1:56.96 and the 4x400m team of Noble, Cupples, Baca and Williams placed first at 4:50.02.

Eighth Grade Boys

The eighth-grade boys’ team finished second behind Redwater.

In the 100m dash Kaigen Lloyd placed sixth at 12.42, in the 400m dash Joey Hopkins placed fifth at 1:03.97, in the 100m hurdles Aiden Eason placed second at 19.43, in the 300m hurdles Eason placed second at 50.50, in the 800m run Kenzie Wiggins placed fourth at 2:31.68 and in the 2400m run Preston Bailey placed third at 9:39.00.

The 4x100m relay team of Lloyd, TJ Hamilton, Landon Thomas and Colby Wells placed second at 48.40, the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed fifth at 1:44.96 and the 4x400m relay team of Wiggins, Hamilton, Thomas and Wells placed sixth at 4:08.19.

In long jump Thomas placed second at 16 feet, 7 inches, in triple jump Thomas placed third at 35 feet, 5 1/2 inches and Lloyd placed fourth at 34 feet, 11 1/2 inches, in discus Kam Williams placed first at 115 feet, 2 inches and Jaylen Finley placed third at 107 feet, 6 inches and in shot Williams placed first at 47 feet even and Finley placed fourth at 38 feet, 6 inches.

Eighth Grade Girls

Both the seventh grade and eighth grade girls’ teams literally ran away with titles.

In the 100m dash Makenzie Birmingham placed second at 13.46, Zion Bickham placed third at 13.58 and Zatavia Nash placed sixth at 14.00, in the 200m dash Ke’Mauri Johnson placed first at 28.78 and Bickham placed third at 29.99, in the 400m dash Gracie McWilliams placed second at 1:11.11 and Jalyssa Beltran placed fifth at 1:15.15, in the 100m hurdles Chloe Puckett placed third at 18.72 and in the 300m hurdles Puckett placed first at 58.35.

In the 800m run Sophia Price placed first at 2:46.16, in the 1600m run Price placed first at 6:38.09, in long jump McWilliams placed fifth at 12 feet, 8 inches and in shot Hannah McClanahan placed fourth at 29 feet, 6 inches.

Atlanta swept the relays. The 4x100m team of McWilliams, Jaliyah Gordon, Johnson and Skylar Spencer placed first at 53.48, the 4x200m relay team of Gordon, Johnson, Spencer and Price placed first at 1:54.90 and the 4x400m team of McWilliams, Gordon, Birmingham and Spencer placed first at 4:48.26.

Queen City

Queen City’s middle school track teams competed in New Boston on Mar. 27, the varsity boys and JV boys’ teams competed in the Gerald Pinkham Relays in DeKalb on Mar. 30, and the girls’ high school programs competed in the Paul Parr Relays in Liberty-Eylau on Mar. 30.

Varsity Boys

The varsity boys finished third overall.

In the 200m dash Daketrick Smith placed fourth at 23.68, in the 400m dash Trent Granberry placed third at 52.41, in the 100m hurdles Trevonne Horsley placed third at 18.21 and Clint Wooding placed sixth at 19.45, in the 1600m run Xavier Allison placed fourth at 5:03.10 and in the 3200m run Allison placed fifth at 12:36.58.

The 4x100m relay team of Delvon Federick, Granberry, Nicolas Herring and DJ Henson placed second at 43.60, the 4x200m relay team of Federick, Herring, Henson and Smith placed second at 1:33.46 and the 4x4 relay team of Federick, Granberry, Herring and Henson placed first at 3:33.84.

In trilpe jump Henson placed first at 41 feet, 4 inches and Smith placed sixth at 39 feet, 2 inches and in discus Leevi Byrum placed third at 124 feet even.

JV Boys

The JV boys finished fourth overall.

In the 200m dash Jason Joffray placed fifth at 25.15, in the 400m dash Caleb Kimble placed third at 59.32 and Keegan Salers placed sixth at 1:00.28, in the 800m run Kimble placed first at 2:19.25 and Wyatt Peacock placed third at 2:25.22, in the 1600m run Timothy Brady placed second at 5:54.01 and Logan Byrd placed fourth at 6:03.03 and in the 3200m run Brady placed first at 12:35.06 and Peacock placed fifth at 13:48.37.

The 4x100m relay team of Brayden Wiley, Salers, DJ Parker and Cole Byrd placed fifth at 47.61, the 4x200m relay team of Wiley, Hunter Parker, Joffray and Cole Byrd placed sixth at 1:43.19 and the 4x4 relay team of Wiley, Hunter Parker, Kimble and Cole Byrd placed fourth at 4:01.53.

In long jump Rylee Green placed third at 18 feet, 9 1/2 inches, in triple jump Tavon Andrews placed fourth at 36 feet, 11 1/2 inches, in high jump Andrews placed sixth at 5 feet even and in pole vault Hunter Parker placed first with a mark of 8 feet, 6 inches.

Varsity Girls

In the 300m hurdles Toni McCellon placed second at 48.98, in high jump McCellon placed fifth at 4 feet, 8 inches, in triple jump Cassidy Johnson placed first at 35 feet, 1 inch and in discus Erica Lavoie placed first at 90 feet, 1 inch.

JV Girls

In the 800m run Adalyn Tyson placed second at 2:54.85, in the 100m hurdles Lola Gladden placed second at 19.24 and Taylor Ward placed third at 19.78, in the 300m hurdles Ward placed third at 58.33, in the long jump Gladden placed third at 13 feet, 2 inches and in discus Makenna Hamilton placed second at 83 feet, 9 inches and Gracie Alexander placed third at 81 feet, 11 inches.

Seventh Grade Boys

In the 2400m run Landry Blythe placed first at 8:43.00, in triple jump Lincoln Moore placed fourth at 31 feet, 8 1/2 inches and in pole vault Moore and Sam Clayton placed 2-3 with marks of 6 feet, 6 inches and 6 feet even respectively.

The 4x100m relay team of Tristan Wilkerson, T’shod Bolden, Brady Majors and Moore placed fifth at 54.26, the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed third at 1:56.15 and the 4x4 relay team of Blythe, Bolden, Majors and Moore placed third at 4:24.40.

Seventh Grade Girls

In the 100m dash Ella Baker placed third at 13.43, in the 400m dash Baker placed second at 1:12.27, in the 800m run Sarah Jones placed second at 2:50.02, in long jump Baker placed fourth at 12 feet, 11 inches, in high jump Rowan Thomas placed fourth at 4 feet, 4 inches, in triple jump Baker placed first at 29 feet, 9 1/2 inches and Anna Johnson placed fifth at 27 feet even and in shot Peyton Granado placed fourth at 25 feet, 10 inches.

The eighth-grade boys’ team was just three points from taking second place.

In the 100m dash Semaj Booth placed second at 11.78, in the 400m dash James Gladden placed fourth at 1:02.81, in the 800m run Jacob Webster placed sixth at 2:36.91, in the 1600m run Dion Metzger placed second at 5:52.28, Payden Glass placed fifth at 6:02.97 and Kingston Boyter placed sixth at 6:05.41, in the 2400m run Metzger placed second at 9:21.00 and Cameron Clarke placed fifth at 9:44.83, in the 100m hurdles Evan Benson placed third at 19.94 and in the 300m hurdles Benson placed fourth at 51.63.

The 4x100m relay team of Booth, Sean Missildine, Martrevious Banks and Derell Sewell placed third at 48.50 and the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed second at 1:43.94.

In pole vault Gladden placed third at 8 feet even, in high jump Banks placed sixth at 5 feet even, in triple jump Sewell placed fifth at 33 feet, 10 1/2 inches, in discus David Jackson placed second at 113 feet, 7 inches and in shot Jackson placed second at 42 feet, 2 inches.

In the 100m hurdles Mallory Hamilton placed fourth at 18.78, in the 300m hurdles Hamilton placed fifth at 1:02.46, in the 1600m run Abigail Bickham placed sixth at 7:02.00 and in the 2400m run Bickham placed fourth at 11:03.24.

The 4x100m relay team of Ava Norton, Breana McConnell, Lucy Kelton and Kaylin Griffin placed fourth at 58.47, the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed fifth at 2:10.06 and the 4x400m relay team of Ava Shelton, Norton, Griffin and Bailee Black placed sixth at 5:31.00.

In long jump McConnell placed fourth at 13 feet, 3 3/4 inches and Black placed sixth at 12 feet, 6 inches, in triple jump Shelton placed third at 27 feet, 5 1/2 inches and Black placed fifth at 27 feet, 2 1/2 inches, in high jump Hamilton placed third at 4 feet, 2 inches, in pole vault Griffin placed first at 7 feet even and Norton placed second at 6 feet even, in discus Anna Young and Macy Snelgrove placed 5-6 with tosses of 65 feet, 11 inches and 65 feet, 7 inches respectively and in shot Hannah Blaylock placed fourth at 29 feet, 6 inches.

Bloomburg

Bloomburg junior high track members competed at the District 24 meet on Mar. 27.

In the 400m dash Remington Mays placed third overall at 1:09.85, in the 2400m run Craig Johnson placed second at 9:44.25 and Kaiden Priest third at 11.00.85 and in discus Gunner Wiley placed fourth at 65 feet, 5 inches.

Linden-Kildare

Linden-Kildare’s junior high track program competed in the Hawk Relays on Mar. 27, and the Lady Tigers competed in the Hawk Relays Mar. 30.

Varsity Girls

L-K was just three points from finishing fourth overall.

In the 200m dash Jamiah Birmingham placed first at 26.72 and Madi Bynum placed second at 26.99, in discus Rylee Burns placed third at 90 feet, 4 inches and in shot Kaycee Neville placed fourth at 32 feet, 3 1/4 inches.

The 4x100m relay team of Carley Hays, Bynum, Birmingham and Jakiah Birmingham placed first at 51.46 and the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed first at 1:50.61.

Seventh Grade Boys

In the 100m dash Ja’Koryn Love placed sixth at 14.34, in the 200m dash Love placed fifth at 29.75, in the 400m dash Axel Munoz placed fourth at 1:06.61, in the 800m run Munoz placed third at 2:38.05 and in the high jump Munoz placed fourth with a mark of 4 feet, 8 inches.

Seventh Grade Girls

In the 100m dash Brooklyn Bynum place sixth at 15.65, in the 800m run Autumn Montoya placed fifth at 3:02.05, in the 300m hurdles Montoya placed fourth at 1:02.38, in shot Jessie Higgins placed second with a toss of 26 feet, 11 inches and in discus Higgins placed fifth with a heave of 45 feet, 8 1/2 inches.

Eighth Grade Boys

In the 100m dash Ayden Rainge placed third at 12.76, in the 200m dash Rainge placed fourth at 26.78, in the 400m dash Jacob George placed sixth at 1:05.48 and the 4x100m relay team of Jerric Madison, George, Rainge and Ashtin Owens placed sixth at 52.78.

Eighth Grade Girls

The eighth-grade girls’ team was just three points from taking second place.

In the 200m dash Makinah Washington placed fourth at 30.79, in the 100m hurdles Maggee Winters placed fourth at 20.50 and in the 300m hurdles Winters placed second at 57.71.

The young Lady Tigers swept the relays. The 4x100m team of Washington, Olivia Stewart, Kalysa Roberts and Summer Gibson placed first at 54.52, the 4x200m team of the same lineup placed first at 1:55.79 and the 4x4 team of Winters, Stewart, Roberts and Gibson placed first at 4:37.85.

In long jump Roberts placed third at 14 feet, 9 1/2 inches and Gibson placed sixth at 13 feet, 10 inches, in triple jump Roberts placed third at 29 feet, 9 1/2 inches and Washington placed sixth at 27 feet, 8 1/2 inches and in shot Charington Taylor placed fourth at 29 feet, 10 1/2 inches and Cadence Belford placed fifth at 28 feet, 5 inches.
