Queen City’s varsity softball team won for the 14th time in 16 games and stayed perfect in district play with wins over Hooks and Redwater.

In the 4-1 win over Hooks, Trinity Oden scattered five hits over seven innings with 12 strikeouts. Oden also smacked a homerun, hit a single and brought in two runs. Serenity Oden hit an RBI double, Brenna Turbeville hit a double and Erica Lavoie added a base hit.

In the 10-0 win over Redwater, Trinity Oden gave up just two hits in six innings and struck out six.

The Oden sisters were like jets dropping bombs as they both smashed homeruns in the contest.

Trinity hit a two, 2-run blasts and racked up four RBI’s, Serenity had a 3-run shot in the game, Brenna Turbeville hit two base hits and had an RBI, Mallori Stringer added two base knocks, Jacey Cauthorn had two base hits with an RBI, Keeli Mainer posted two base hits with an RBI and Kelsey Nash, Lauren Carrell and Erica Lavoie hit singles in the game.

Atlanta’s baseball team ran its district record to 3-0 after topping both Redwater and DeKalb recently.

Against the Dragons, the Rabbs pulled out a 5-4 victory. Will Woodruff scattered 11 hits over seven innings with five strikeouts.

Woodruff also hit an RBI double, Peyton Gaston hit a single and a double, Peyton Harrison added two base hits, Dex Ebarb had an RBI and Easton Owens hit a single.

In the 7-5 win over the Bears, Eli Stevens recorded two K’s, Peyton Harrison one strikeout and Eli Dryden five in a combined effort.

Harrison hit a single, a double and brought in two runs, Woodruff and Nick Burden hit RBI doubles, Ty Graf, Jayden Riley and Dex Ebarb recorded base hits, Cooper Swanson hit an RBI single and Corbin Farmer hit an RBI single.
