Queen City girls win J.K. Hileman Relays

Queen City’s varsity girls’ track program won its own event on Mar. 16, as they outdistanced DeKalb by 16 points.

Paul Pewitt placed third, James Bowie fourth, Bloomburg fifth, Maud fifth and Liberty-Eylau seventh.

Queen City

In the 100m dash Cassidy Johnson placed third at 13.37, in the 400m dash Serenity Oden placed second at 1:07.85 and Adalyn Tyson placed fifth at 1:13.85, in the 100m hurdles Lola Gladden and Taylor Ward placed 3-4 with times of 19.90 and 20.32 respectively and in the 300m hurdles Toni McCellon placed first at 49.16 and Ward placed second at 1:00.00.

Tyson placed fifth in the 800m run at 2:55.31 and Keri Fomby placed third in the 3200m run at 14:46.21.

The 4x100m relay team of Amayia Young, Oden, McCellon and Johnson placed second at 52.65, the 4x200m relay team placed third at 2:06.04 and the 4x400m relay team of Reagan Hargrave, Oden, Erica Lavoie and McCellon placed second at 4:45.71.

In field events the Lady Bulldogs racked up 64 of its 160 points.

In long jump McCellon placed second at 14 feet, 9 inches and Gladden placed fourth at 14 feet, 3 inches, in triple jump Johnson placed first at 35 feet, 2 inches, in high jump McCellon placed first at 4 feet, 8 inches and Oden placed second at 4 feet, 6 inches and in discus the Lady Bulldogs swept places 1-2-3.

Lavoie finished first with a toss of 90 feet even, Gracie Alexander placed second at 87 feet, 10 inches and Makenna Hamilton placed third at 74 feet, 9 inches.

Bloomburg

For Bloomburg, Jacee Glasgow placed first in the 100m hurdles at 17.75, and Cassie Glasgow placed second in triple jump at 31 feet. 3 1/2 inches.
