Lady lifters compete at Regional meet
Atlanta, Queen City and Linden-Kildare’s lady powerlifting programs competed at Regional meets recently.
Atlanta
Lady Rabbit lifters competed in the Region 3, Class 3A big school Regional meet in Eustace on Mar. 3.
Rylie Wilson placed fifth in her weight class with a total lift of 625 pounds, A’nessa Smith placed sixth in her weight class with a total lift of 620 pounds, Cha’Nya Clark finished seventh in her weight class with a total lift of 705 pounds, Yra’kyya Nard placed eighth in her weight class with a total lift of 655 pounds and Kambria Dickerson placed ninth in her weight class with a total lift of 645 pounds. Queen City Lady Bulldog lifters competed in the Region 3, Class 3A small school Regional meet in Eustace on Mar. 3.
Aubrie Kiser went into the meet sitting in seventh place in Region 3. She finished the year with a fourth-place finish in her weight class with a total lift of 785 pounds.
Teammates Brenna Turbeville placed 10th in her weight class with a total lift of 500 pounds, Erica Lavoie placed 10th in her weight class with a total lift of 700 pounds and McKenna Hamilton placed 11th in her weight class with a total lift of 625 pounds.
Linden-Kildare
L-K’s Allie Watson competed in the Region 3, Class 1A-2A Regional meet in Eustace on Feb. 21.
Watson had a sensational year and finished third overall in her weight class with a total lift of 755 pounds. Placing third in the entire region during her sophomore year is just setting the bar for her junior year.
