Seventh grade Rabbits take district title

On Jan. 28, the Atlanta Rabbits remained unbeaten in district play by winning three games and taking home the tournament championship. The title game matched the AMS boys against the Red Lick Mustangs, whom they defeated 28-20.

Jaylen Henderson led the way scoring nine points. Deondrae Simmons netted six and Hayes Highland scored five.

In the semi-final game, the Rabbits took down Hooks 31-21. Deondrae Simmons led all scorers with ten. Jaylen Henderson added nine and Noah Sheffield six. The opener matched the Rabbs with Paul Pewitt, resulting in a 33-8 final. Noah Sheffield and Deondrae Simmons both scored eight points.
