Atlanta Iron competes at FCA Liftoff
Atlanta’s powerlifting program took part in the FCA Liftoff at Texas High on Jan. 21.
For the guys, Austin Phelps placed third in the 148-pound weight class with a total lift of 905 pounds, Darryck Prounh placed fifth in the 165-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,020 pounds, Kyle Gross finished second in a highly-competitive 198-pound weight class with an impressive total lift of 1,360 pounds, Brendan Clayton placed 13th and Derian Trussell 21st in the 220’s with total lifts of 1,025 and 740 pounds respectively, Nate Hernandez placed 13th in the 242’s with a total lift of 1,070 pounds, Davonne Crocker placed 10th in the 275’s with a total lift of 1,085 pounds, Marcellous Kirk and Curtis Sellers placed 17-18 in the 275’s with total lifts of 900 and 880 pounds respectively and Caden Walker placed fifth in the 308’s with a total lift of 1,225 pounds.
For the ladies, Stephanie Alonzo placed 11th in her weight class with a total of 370 pounds lifted, Keirsten Underwood and Lizbeth Hernandez placed 17-18 in their weight class with total lifts of 445, 440 pounds respectively, Brooklyn Thompson finished in the top 20 of her weight class with a total lift of 455 pounds, Anna Daniels placed 11th in her weight class with a total lift of 525 pounds, Cha’Nya Clark placed eighth in her weight class with a total lift of 580 pounds, Yra’kyya Nard placed seventh in her weight class with a total lift of 455 pounds and Rylie Wilson and Ryleigh Paige finished 10-11 in their weight class with total lifts of 505, 465 pounds respectively.
