PRAISE
The words, Praise, Praises, Praising is found over 250 times in the Bible.
The first instance is found in Genesis 29:35; where Leah said, “Now will I praise the Lord,” and she called his name Judah. The last instance is in Revelation 19:5; where a voice came out of the throne saying, “Praise our God, all his servants.”
From Genesis to Revelation, the name of the Lord is to be praised. From day to day, from generation to generation, praise ye the Lord!
WHO AND WHAT IS TO PRAISE THE LORD? Psalm 148:2; Praise ye him, all his angels, praise ye him, all his hosts. 3. Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 7. Praise the Lord from the Earth, ye dragons, and all deeps. 8. Fire, and hail, snow, and vapor, stormy wind fulfilling his word. 9. Mountains, and all hills, fruitful trees, and all cedars. 10. Beasts, and all cattle, creeping things, and flying fowl. 11. Kings of the Earth, and all people, princes, and all judges of the Earth, 12. Both young men, and maidens, old man, and children, 13. Let them praise the the name of the Lord, for his name alone is excellent, his glory is above the Earth and heaven.
WHEN DO WE PRAISE THE LORD? Psalm 34:1; I will bless the Lord At All Times, his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 35:28; And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness, and of thy praise All the day long. Psalm 113:3; From the rising of the sun, unto the going down of the same, the Lord’s name is to be praised. Hebrews 13:15; By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God Continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
HOW DO WE PRAISE THE LORD? Psalm 9:1; I will praise thee O Lord, with my Whole heart. Psalm 103:1; Bless the Lord, O my soul, And ALL that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 149:1; Praise ye the Lord, sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. V.3. Let them praise his name in the dance, let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
HOW LONG ARE WE TO PRAISE THE LORD? Psalm 30:12; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent, O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee Forever. Psalm 145:1; I will extol thee, my God, O king, and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. 2. Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
WHY DO WE PRAISE THE LORD? Psalm 106:1; Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever. Psalm 30:11. Thou has turned for me my mourning into dancing, thou has put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness. Psalm 117:1-2; O praise the Lord, all ye nations, praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150:6. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the LORD.
