ATLANTA AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Its a great time to be a member of the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce! The month of October kept our office busy! With five new members, four Ribbon Cuttings, A Maker’s Market and a Glow Run, we are excited at what is in store for our area.

The Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce will host its first Business After Hours Event for Chamber Members. This is an exclusive event that allows members to network and learn how their businesses work together and work for our community. State Bank will be our host as members enjoy snacks, wine, and prizes.

Looking for an opportunity to get involved? Stop by one of our ribbon cuttings and meet new business owners. These are the people that are facing the economic turn in our area with pride. Our next ribbon cutting is scheduled for Nov. 2nd. at Amazing Acres RV Park. So stop in and share their chili lunch. Get to know the owners and other community members.

The Holidays are quickly approaching and we love this time of year. The Holiday Open House is Nov. 13th and always brings a crowd. Enjoy, a great deal and prizes and lots of Christmas Cheer. This is when our downtown shops really shine as they have their Christmas displays up and ready to go.

Our area is now known for its Christmas Parade. December 3rd the Christmas Parade sponsored by TEXAR will hit the streets of downtown Atlanta. Safety is our number one concern. Due to past issues and at the request of law enforcement, we are no longer allowing ATV/UTVs to enter the parade. Also, all horses must have proof of a Coggins test upon parade staging. Last year we broke records in participation and we plan to make it a great event again this year.
