VanDeaver to visit Cass County

Rep. VanDeaver Announces Upcoming October Listening Tour for House District 1 (New Boston, TX) - State Representative Gary VanDeaver announced the schedule for his biennial Fall Listening Tour of meetings in October across House District 1. These meetings give Rep. VanDeaver the chance to hear directly from his constituents about important issues they feel should be considered during next year’s legislative session. Rep. VanDeaver said: These small group discussions have proved invaluable to me over the years when constituents take the time to talk to me about their concerns before a legislative session. As a result of these discussions, I have filed and passed bills in previous sessions as a direct result of input from House District 1 constituents.

Additionally, these meetings give me a chance to share some of the inner workings of the legislature with my constituents so they understand the struc- ture and constraints of a legislative session. I look forward to having another chance to hear about important issues from people in House District 1.

VanDeaver will be in Cass County on Thursday, October 13, from 12:30 - 2 p.m. at the historic Cass County Courthouse, Second Floor Courtroom, 100 E. Houston Street, Linden 75563.
