Queen City Volleyball

On Sept. 16, Queen City’s varsity volleyball team traveled to Paul Pewitt.

The Lady Bulldogs battled but lost in five sets, 2125, 25-23, 14-25, 25-20 and 13-15.

Dori Sasser had 14 service points, three kills, one block and three digs, Jamecia Cook added 16 kills and three blocks, Trinity Oden had 15 kills, 13 digs and nine service points, Lauren Carrell posted nine kills, four service points, and 16 digs, Serenity Oden had 16 digs and four kills, Brenna Turbeville had 24 digs and nine service points, Mallori Stringer recorded 22 digs, six service points, two kills and 41 assists, Madison Bailey had five kills and Courtney Price had nine digs.

MUMS

On Sept. 19, the MUMS Lady Bulldogs traveled to Redlick for a battle with the Lady Mustangs.

The seventh grade A team fell short to the Lady Mustangs with scores of 25-8 and 25-23. Stella Fincher served nine points and Madison Butler helped with four of her own.

The seventh grade B team split with scores of 2125 and 16-3. Madison Butler led with seven points and Kynleigh Adcock helped with four.

The eighth grade A team fought extremely hard but came up short in the third match. The scores were 25-21, 25-21, and 25-11. Mallory Hamilton served eight points and Ava Shelton added six. Ava Norton was on fire with eight digs.

The eighth grade B team beat the Lady Mustangs with scores of 25-11 and 22-9. Anna Young served 16 points and Kaylin Griffen added 13.
