QCISD receives A rating

TEA released the 2022 school accountability ratings for school districts across the state of Texas on Friday in a confidential report. Queen City ISD received an overall accountability rating of A with a Distinction Designation in Post Secondary Readiness. Other district level highlights of the report include an A in School Progress, an A in Relative Performance, and a score of 97 in College, Career and Military Ratings. Also received are Campus Distinction Designations in Social Studies, Reading, Math and Comparative Closing the Gaps.

Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, Shannon Henderson had this to say about the recognition, “Earning an A in the Texas Accountability System for the 2022 school year is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and growth mindset of our Board of Trustees, students, staff, and families. As we transitioned back to school from the catastrophic 19-20 school year, we vowed to “move the needle” on behalf of our students and families, and together, we have done just that! Congratulations to everyone in our district and to all of our district families! I am so proud of you!”
