Republican party organizational meeting July 21

On July 14 Cass County Judge Travis Ransom released and updated Cass County Republican party organizational meeting agenda. The meeting will be held on July 21 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was originally scheduled to be held at the Peace Officers Training Center; however, it has since been moved to the Cass County Historical Courthouse in Linden, Texas.

The meeting will start with an Invocation by Mike Lee; pledges to U.S. & American Flags- Jude Schexnyder. They will then recognize elected officials, candidates, and guests, followed by remarks by Ransom.

After the introduction and remarks, there will be an investiture of duly elected County Chair & County Precinct Chairs: County Judge Travis Ransom; Gina Worley- Precinct 1, Linden; Joe Harrison- Precinct 4, New Colony; William Jack (Spike) Salmon, Jr. Precinct 5, Avinger; James Cates- Precinct 7, Hughes Springs; Margaret Parker-Precinct 9, Marietta; Ronnie Clark-Precinct 12, Domino; Jean Cothren-Precinct 4, Queen City; Mike Lee- Precinct 15, O”Farrell; Jude Schexnyder- Precinct 17, Atlanta; Kay Burton, Precinct 18, Smyrna; Bob Vernon-Precinct 19, Huffines; and Rena Schaeffer of Precinct 20E of Bivins.

The meeting will then hold an Adoption of By-Laws; Selection and Election of Officers; and Filling of Precinct Chair Vacancies.

In closing they will discuss the Financial Report that includes the Primary Election and Party Funds; Recruitment & Training of Poll Watchers; Consider Resolution- Jude Schexnyder and Announcements & Adjournment.
