Man drowns in Lake Wright Patman

On June 19 Shawn Harvey released information that “Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens along with Cass County and Bowie County first responders are working a drowning on Lake Wright Patman. The victim was a passenger on a personal watercraft and was not wearing a life jacket. This is an ongoing investigation, and we will update as information comes available. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and friends.”
The victim has now been identified as Muhammad Usman Amjad 31 years old Dallas, TX. The drowning investigation has been pinned near Piney Point Park Road in Douglasville.
Monday morning, June 20, it was updated that the body was recovered.
