Flint’s Furniture opens new outlet store

Flint’s Furniture, a community furniture store, has now been open for seven years and is already expanding to provide the Cass County community with more choices, an even better selection, and a special place for clearance and scratch and dent items. Flint’s Outlet is in the old Sears building located at 301 E Main St in Atlanta, Texas. The Outlet will be celebrating their grand opening on June 23.

Charles Flint, the store owner, says that the business first started out in 2015 with a 5000 square foot building and has since then expanded to 14000 square feet at our main store. Now, adding the outlet, the two businesses are a little over 20,000 square feet.

Flint says that he started in the furniture business delivering back in 1988 at 18 years old. From there he transitioned into sales at 21-years-old and then became assistant manager for Ivan Smith Furniture at 22. When he was 25 he became the assistant manager at the Ivan Smith store in Atlanta. “After 26 years of learning the furniture industry, I decided to open up my own business to better serve the community that I grew up in.”

“We have a little bit of everything,” says Flint...”Ranging from refrigerators, laundry, ranges, living room suites, bedroom suites, accessories, etc.”

Flint says he was inspired to open up the main store in 2015, with the hope of creating a hometown business, serving the community he grew up in. “I’ve enjoyed all of the people I’ve got to meet from all over and being able to invest back into my hometown.”

When asked about his vision for the outlet store, Flint noted that they “have a wide variety of price ranges and wanted to give people a less expensive option that includes our clearance and discontinued items. We have discontinued items, clearance items, and lower-priced items. There is furniture, appliances, and accessories available at our Outlet Store.

Flint wants the community to know that he “appreciates your support so much, Flint’s Furniture would not be the business without all of our wonderful customers. We appreciate your business and strive to be the best that we can be for our community.”
