Rabbs, Bulldogs earn All-District honors
Both Atlanta and Queen City baseball players earned District 14-3A honors recently.
Atlanta
Sophomore hurler Will Woodruff was named Co-Pitcher of the Year. Woodruff had 50 strikeouts on the year and scattered 46 hits over the course of 54 innings in 16 games pitched.
Junior Dex Ebarb took home First Team Third Base honors, senior Cooper McClure First Team Short Stop honors, junior Ty Graf First Team Catcher honors and senior Dylan Spears First Team Pitcher honors.
Ebarb had 23 hits on the season with 22 RBIs, McClure had 32 hits with two homers and 19 RBIs, Graf added 27 hits, 10 of those doubles, and 24 RBIs and Spears had 34 strikeouts with 48 hits given up in 44-plus innings.
Senior Brennan Gaston earned Second Team First Base honors and junior Nick Burden took home Second Team Outfield honors.
Gaston had seven hits and eight RBIs on the year and Burden had 19 hits with 14 RBIs.
Honorable Mention players were: senior Kale Carpenter, senior Adrian Kennington and freshman Peyton Harrison.
Carpenter had 22 hits with a homer and 11 RBIs, Kennington added five hits with three RBIs and Harrison had 16 hits with 10 RBIs.
Queen City
Sophomore Rylee Green earned Second Team Short Stop honors, junior Reggie Harrison took home Second Team Pitcher accolades, sophomore Clint Wiley earned Second Team Outfield honors and junior Clayton Whittenburg earned Second Team Designated Hitter honors.
Honorable Mention players were: senior Aden Norton and freshman Brayden Wiley.
