Superior Reality celebrates 25 years

Superior Realty celebrates twenty-five years of business this year. Penny Brabham,Owner/Broker, explains what has made that time special, “The agents and staff that I work with are my family. They are not just real estate agents. We work together, laugh together, cry together and share our lives together. We truly care about each other, and I look forward to getting to the office every day even after twenty-five years. I love my work family! The second thing is that we all have passion to serve the community with what is for most people life’s greatest investment... their home! We truly care about people. When we are helping others, we help them in many capacities. We feel the excitement of first-time home buyers and we also feel the loss as we work with people who have lost loved ones or divorced. We get attached to our clients and customers and they become very special to us. “

It all started, said Brabham, “after moving to Atlanta, I went to work for Giles Peacock. He owned Century 21 Superior Realty. I had met Giles years before through my husband, Ted. Giles took me under his wing and helped me in so many ways. He became a father figure to me, and I will always be so grateful to him. It wasn’t long before he was ready to retire. I didn’t have my broker’s license yet, so he stayed and waited for me to get my license. Then, Giles sold me the business and retired. I dropped the franchise of Century 21 and became what is now known as Superior Realty.

“I give God all of the credit for where we are today! Every day I pray over our business, each agent and staff individually. I ask for protection for everyone. I ask God to open doors that need to be opened and to close doors that need to be closed. I also ask for us to have the wisdom to know and follow His prompting. Over the years we have developed and grown one successful agent at a time. We currently have 24 agents at Superior Realty and every single agent has something special they bring to the business. They all have their gifts!”

Brabham believes a several things have made the business successful. “A few things I believe have made Superior Realty successful. The agents, the staff, and the community!!! We believe in a working environment keeping the competition outside the office. Even though we all work on commission, we strive not to compete with one another in the office. We also believe in helping each other. If you walk in our office and your agent is not there at that time another agent gladly helps you and will take care of you. We are a team! When one agent has an issue, they need to discuss, we all sit and have a round table discussion to help that agent. Our agents are always giving back to the community whether it’s through time, talents, money, etc. We truly believe in helping others. None of this would be possible, though, without the support of our community! Our community has always been so supportive of us! We love our community and truly can’t say thank you enough for the business and relationships we all have made over the years! These are just a few of the reasons I believe we are successful! “

Brabham has enjoyed working with everyone in Northeast Texas and Arkansas. “We love serving both Texas and Arkansas. It’s the people! You just don’t find better people than you find here!”

Asking about legacy, Brabham replied, “the legacy I would like to leave is to always help others. My dad said many times ‘every person you meet is a human being. Treat them with kindness and respect’. I have tried to do that over the years. I hope that the agents and staff that I have worked with through the years will look back and say that they truly knew that I had their back and know they meant the world to me!”
