Queen City Lady Bulldogs win Bi-District title

On Apr. 27, the Lady Bulldogs picked up where they left off and beat Quitman 11-2 in game one of the Bi-District round.

Coming in Queen City had a 10-game winning streak and now have won 19 of their last 20 games.

Trinity Oden gave up just four hits and struck out 12 in seven innings of work.

Lauren Carrell hit a double, Mallori Stringer hit a single, a double and had two RBIs, Brenna Turbeville added a RBI, Oden hit two singles and had a ribbie, Jacey Cauthorn had two hits and a ribeye, Erica Lavoie hit two singles and had three RBIs, Laurel Moore added a couple of hits and Kelsey Nash hit a single.

On Apr. 28, Queen City won a Bi-District championship with a 4-2 win over Quitman.

Trinity Oden scattered six hits over seven innings with three strikeouts. Oden also hit a 2-run homerun from the plate.

Brenna Turbeville hit two singles, Mallori Stringer hit a RBI single, Serenity Oden added a couple of hits with a RBI, Lauren Carrell posted two singles and Erica Lavoie added a hit.

The Lady Bulldogs will take on White Oak in the Area round of the playoffs beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at ETBU in Marshall. Game two is for 5 p.m. on May 7, with game three to follow 30 minutes after if necessary.
