Facing Your Red Sea

St. John 16:33 - These things have I spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.

If Jesus overcame the world, then so can we. Tribulation will come into everyone’s life. But Jesus told us to be of good cheer.

Acts 14:22 - Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

It don’t matter what we face, what we go through, what tribulation, if we follow on to know the Lord, we will enter into the kingdom of God.

This is what we are striving for, but all this happens in the process of us facing our Red Sea. The enemy will be right behind us as we face it.

When the children of Israel were in Egypt, God sent Moses and Aaron, but we have God himself and Jesus Christ to deliver us, he will take us through.

Romans 5:3 - And not rightly so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowingly that tribulation worketh patience.

Romans 8:35 - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, shall distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

We shouldn’t let tribulation get us down. The enemy will come after you with anything. But God says stand strong.

The enemy can’t do anything that God does not allow. When Pharaoh was following after the children of Israel, Pharaoh’s army couldn’t get any closer to them than what God allowed.

When they faced the Red Sea, do you think they already knew that God was going to part the water? Of course not! They thought it was impossible to go through the Sea.

We go through trials as we face our Red Sea that we think it is impossible to come out of. Is this situation ever going to be over. But there are no impossibilities in God!

As the children of Israel found out, when the sea parted and they begin to cross through. As you enter into your trial, just know that the enemy is going to pursue, he doesn’t want you to have any peace, or joy in the Lord. He wants you to be tormented in your mind, but we don’t have to be! Why! Because God is walking with us.

We must realize that God will be with us through all our battles. As the Red Sea parted, and they went through, we see where Pharaoh’s army was drowned. Lift your hands as Moses lifted that rod and go forth, and know that God is going to do what he needs to do to get you through!

God does not put us through trials to destroy us, he will not put no more on you than you can bear, but with the trial, he will make a way of escape! All we need to do is trust him!

Job faced a Red Sea like no other.

He lost everything he had. One messenger after another bringing a bad report, it even affected his wife. He had no one to turn to.

But in all this, he didn’t charge God foolishly. The three Hebrew boys were facing their Red Sea in the form of a fiery furnace. But they still refused to bow to Nebuchadnezzar’s idol, and a fourth man showed up in there with them. We can’t give up, God always has us in his hand.
