Cedric Davis places third at state

Cedric Davis had one great year on the powerlifting stage.

The road ended last Saturday at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association’s Division 3 State Meet in Abilene where Davis finished third and earned a bronze medal in his classification

Davis turned in personal bests on the state stage where he squatted 675 pounds and benched 395.

He deadlifted 625 which was down from regionals where he hit 635. Nonetheless he wrapped up a medal with a total lift of 1,695 pounds.

He increased his squat weight by 45 pounds and bench press by 20 pounds from regionals and turned in an overall jump of 55 pounds up from his regional total.
