Lady Rabbits

Atlanta beat North Webster out of Louisiana 13-2 on Mar. 7.

Valarie Mason scattered four hits over five innings and sat down five batters. She also hit a double from the dish. Tori Clayton had a whale of a game as she hit two homers and a triple which racked up six RBIs, Sabriiyah Young added two doubles and a single with three ribbies, Sydni Davis hit a double and a single with two RBIs, Anna Davis hit an RBI single and Cara Taylor, Coty Hall and Allie Jefferson each hit singles.

On Mar. 12, the Lady Rabbs ran its district record to 2-0 with a huge 18-0 win over New Boston. Valarie Mason scattered three hits and struck out two in the run-ruled game. Mason also hit a double, a single and had a RBI, Allie Jefferson had a 2-RBI double, Coty Hall hit a 2-RBI double, Cara Taylor hit a homerun and had two RBIs, Sabriiyah Young hit a homer and had three RBIs, Tori Clayton hit a homerun, a single and had a RBI, Kinlee Hamilton hit a single and had two RBIs, Sydni Davis added two hits and a ribeye and Anna Davis had a RBI.

On Mar. 16, the Lady Rabbits dismantled Paul Pewitt 16-1, and ran its district record to 3-0. Cara Taylor had a hit, Allie Jefferson was 2-for-2 with a double and a RBI, Tori Clayton was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Sydni Davis was 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI, Mason was 2-for-4 with a double and two ribbies, Sabriiyah Young hit a single and had two ribeyes, Hodge added a RBI double and both Coty Hall and Jade Albertson hit RBI singles.

On Mar. 18, the Lady Rabbs gave Hooks its first loss on the season.

The Lady Hornets had won 13 games going into the battle with Atlanta, but an 11-1 thumping ended that streak. The Lady Rabbits never looked back after scoring three runs in the first frame. Atlanta went on to score eight runs before Hooks got on the board. Valarie Mason and Jordan Hodge shared time in the circle and gave up just five hits combined.

Cara Taylor fell a triple shy of the cycle as she belted a homerun, hit a single, hit a double and collected a RBI. Allie Jefferson hit an inside the park homer and added a single with three RBIs, Tori Clayton was 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI, Sydni Davis had a hit with two ribbies, Mason had a couple of singles with a RBI, Hodge and Sabriiyah Young had a RBI apiece and Kinlee Hamilton had a RBI single.

Tigers

Linden-Kildare topped New Boston 10-4 on Mar. 11.

The game was tied 4-4 with the Tigers batting in the bottom of the fourth when Carter Foreman singled on a 2-0 count, scoring the go-ahead run.

Jackson Lee doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs and Kyler Fitts singled on the first pitch of his at bat, scoring one run in the fourth.

Jonathan Owen and Lee added more RBIs in the fifth inning.

Lee had a big game as he went 4-for-4 at the plate. Lee singled in the first, doubled in the third, doubled in the fourth and doubled in the fifth.

Peyton Foreman lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out six. The Tigers racked up 18 hits in the game. Lee, Fitts, Foreman, Logan Hankins, and Owen had multiple hits for Linden-Kildare.

Lady Tigers

On Mar. 8, the Lady Tigers took on Rivercrest and won convincingly 13-1.

The game was called after five innings as Linden-Kildare scored eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings combined.

L-K was up 5-1 going into the fourth frame. Hayley Mason only gave up two hits in five innings of work from the circle.

The Lady Tigers banged out 16 hits en route to a big victory. Ashtin Patterson and Kaycee Neville each hit homers, Patterson also hit a triple and six RBIs, Neville hit a double and accrued three RBIs, and both Kyndal Fitts and Sydney Hampton hit doubles and had an RBI apiece.

Mason had three hit with two RBIs, Sophia Hampton added two singles and both Allie Watson and Emily Wall hit singles.

On Mar. 18, the Lady Tigers opened district play with a 12-5 win over James Bowie. L-K never trailed in the game as they took a 6-3 lead into the sixth inning, and scored six more runs in the final two frames.

Haley Mason scattered eight hits and struck out seven. She was also 3-for-5 from the plate with a double and two RBIs.

Ashtin Patterson hit her sixth homerun of the season and collected three RBIs, Allie Smallwood hit a triple and had three RBIs, Kaycee Neville was 3-for-5 with two doubles and two ribbies, Alivia Carlisle had two hits, Allie Watson added a RBI, Kyndal Fitts had three hits and Sydney Hampton added a hit.

Lady Bulldogs

Queen City’s softball squad has been on a roll.

QC run-ruled Ore City 12-0 in four innings on Feb. 25.

Kyra Campbell, Serenity Oden and Trinity Oden combined for four strikeouts.

Erica Lavoie, Laurel Moore, Serenity Oden and Trinity Oden each hit doubles in that game and Moore, Trinity Oden and Brenna Turbeville hit triples.

Serenity Oden had a RBI, Trinity Oden added two RBIs, Lauren Carrell hit two singles and had two RBIs, Moore had four RBIs, and Lavoie added a RBI.

On Mar. 1, the Lady Bulldogs opened district play against Paul Pewitt and won 8-1. Trinity Oden was masterful from the circle as she pitched a no-hitter in seven innings of work, and struck out 10 batters.

Oden also hit a double and a triple in the game and had two ribbies, and Serenity Oden added a double as part of her 4-hit game and had two RBIs.

Brenna Turbeville had a RBI, Lauren Carrell had three hits, Laurel Moore added a RBI single, Jacey Cauthorn posted three hits with a RBI, Erica Lavoie had three hits and Kelsey Nash added a single.

On Mar. 3, the Lady Bulldogs blanked Grand Saline 10-0 after an 8-run outburst in the second inning. Although the game only lasted four innings, Trinity Oden pitched a perfect game as she struck out seven and gave up no hits and no runs. Brenna Turbeville hit a double and Oden hit a triple in the contest.

Jacey Cauthorn and Laurel Moore each collected two hits and had a RBI apiece, Jenna Lavoie added a single, and players who had a hit and one RBI were: Turbeville, Mallori Stringer, Serenity Oden, Trinity Oden and Erica Lavoie.

On Mar. 3, QC beat Pine Tree 10-1 by scoring early and often.

Trinity Oden gave up no hits on runs in two innings of play with two Ks, and Kyra Campbell scattered three hits over two innings.

Mallori Stringer hit a triple and had a RBI, Brenna Turbeville added two hits, Serenity Oden had two hits with a RBI, Trinity Oden hit a single, Lauren Carrell had a hit with two RBIs, Laurel Moore added two RBIs, Erica Lavoie had a sin-gle and a RBI, Kelsey Nash posted a hit and Jacey Cauthorn had a hit with two ribeyes.

On Mar. 4, the Lady Bulldogs blanked Spring Hill 11-0 as Trinity Oden and Serenity Oden combined for a perfect game. Trinity sat down three batters in the contest. Serenity hit a triple and a single and had five RBIs, Brenna Turbeville had a RBI single, Mallori Stringer added two hits with a RBI, Trinity had two hits with two ribbies, Kelsey Nash added a RBI, Erica Lavoie had two hits and Laurel Moore, Jacey Cauthorn and Jenna Lavoie hit singles.

On Mar. 4, QC topped Harleton 8-0 as Trinity Oden gave up one hit and struck out five batters. Oden and Lauren Carrell hit triples and Brenna Turbeville hit a double. Oden also added a single and a RBI, Carrell had a RBI and Turbeville added a single and had three RBIs. Serenity Oden had a RBI and Jacey Cauthorn hit a single and had two RBIs.

On Mar. 5, QC beat Chapel Hill 5-2 as Serenity Oden scattered two hits and had four Ks. Both Trinity Oden and Serenity Oden hit a triple in the contest. Mallori Stringer hit a RBI single, Lauren Carrell had a RBI, Laurel Moore added a single and both Jacey Cauthorn and Kelsey Nash had RBIs.

On Mar. 5, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Elysian Fields 7-1 as Trinity Oden sat down 10 batters and gave up only two hits. Oden and Laurel Moore each hit a double and Mallori Stringer hit a triple in the game.

Moore also hit a single and had a RBI, Lauren Carrell added a hit and two RBIs, Trinity Oden added a single and two RBIs, Serenity Oden had two hits, Stringer added a single and had a RBI and Brenna Turbeville hit a single.

On Mar. 9, the Lady Bulldogs lost to No. 3 ranked and undefeated Hooks by a slim margin of 5-4. QC went up 4-1 going into the final two innings but Hooks scored four runs in those two frames to pull off the comeback.

Trinity Oden struck out six batters in the game and had three hits, one of those a double, from the plate with a RBI. Lauren Carrell hit a RBI double, Brenna Turbeville and Mallori Stringer added singles, Serenity Oden had two hits and Laurel Moore had a RBI single.

On Mar. 16, QC pulled out a 3-0 win over Redwater and sit a 2-1 in district play as of this article. Trinity Oden struck out nine batters over seven innings with two hits given up. Mallori Stringer hit a 3-run homerun in the game and had a single to go along with it, Brenna Turbeville had two hits and Jacey Cauthorn had a hit.

On Mar. 18, the Lady Bulldogs put up seven runs late in the game to take a 9-5 win over DeKalb. Trinity Oden scattered seven hits and struck out 10 batters. Laurel Moore hit a homerun in the game and had three RBIs, Kelsey Nash was 2-for-4 with a triple and three ribbies, Serenity Oden hit a RBI double, Brenna Turbeville slammed three singles and had two ribeyes and Lauren Carrell, Jacey Cauthorn and Jenna Lavoie hit singles.
