Bag 903 celebrates reopening

In April of last year Jamie Jeans interviewed Keyeria Webster-Gregory. At the time she was currently working on her senior year at Texas A&M, while balancing three kids and working as a pharmacy technician for Walmart while also getting her new business going, Bag 903. That has changed somewhat now as she has moved to a new location and is no longer working for Walmart, and is instead running her business full time.

At the time Webster told Jeans that she began selling purses, clothing, shoes, and other boutique-style items online. The decision to go brick and mortar was based not only on her dream but also on a community need. Much of her inventory isn’t offered elsewhere in the community, so those looking for their particular style would instead have to travel outside of Cass County.

As noted in the original piece, keeping things local is vital to Gregory, and that can also be seen in the name of her store, Bag 903, a nod to the local area code. Bag 903 celebrated its first day of being open and its grand opening on April 17.

This year Webster says, “is about building, teamwork, and consistency.” Bag 903 was a small boutique located in Atlanta, TX across the street from the library. Its owners, Keyeria and husband John started out small with a vision of something greater. Each day was a balancing act of work, school, and home life.

However, the goal was always to work hard and create an opportunity for others to showcase their talents as well, notes Webster.

The hunt for a bigger building was on. Once the Gregory’s found their current location, there was much work to be done. It took some time to manicure and polish what was once a loan company into the perfect fashion outlet.

Webster says that Bag 903 now offers a variety of services. You can pick up clothing for your husband, wife, or children. While he’s getting a haircut in our new barbershop, she could be getting her makeup and eyelash extensions done. Also, there is a hair braider who does dreads as well. If you love purses, we have those too.

The new location is across the way from Brookshires and Factory Outlet in the same parking lot.
