L-K band members compete at UIL event

Several members of the L-KHS band competed at UIL Solo & Ensemble contest recently. Seventeen students performed six solos and four trios to bring home 15 First Division medals.

One of the trios earned a Second Division rating but no one received a Third, Fourth or Fifth Division rating.

Although none of them attempted class one difficulty to advance to state level, it was a successful day.

Especially given that none of the performances had help from Band Director Mr. Williams. They all did the work completely on their own.

The band members who competed are: Jacee Quaid, Kyleigh Abernathy, Leland Beatty, Brooklynne Dalrymple, Evey Lansdale, Emma Milligan, Yedith Uribe, Neveah Arnold, Nayeli Fuentes, Elizabeth Klaver, Kaitlin Sellers, Dylan Stanley, Josie Turner, Alexus Davis, Maddy Ebarb and Camdyn McNutt.
