MUMS places third at competition

On Saturday, Jan. 29, the MUMS Math and Science Team traveled to Sabine.

The MUMS teams placed third overall out of eight schools competing. Several students placed in the top 10 of their event(s).

Sixth Grade - Sara Jones - eighth place number sense, Gerald Malina – third place science and Carter Aucoin - ninth place science.

Seventh Grade - Gabriella Mendoza – third place number sense and second place general math, Abigail Bickham - sixth place number sense and fourth place general math, Rylan Durmon - eighth place number sense and seventh place general math, Ariana Robison - sixth place calculator and Anna Leigh Young - ninth place science.

Eighth Grade - Makenna Hamilton - sixth place number sense, Adalyn Tyson - fifth place number sense and ninth place general math, Elizabeth Bickham - seventh place calculator and fifth place science and Kyre McKinney - 10th place science.
