FREE MEAL

The First United Methodist Church in Queen City, Texas will be serving a free meal of beans and cornbread on Monday, February 7, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. After a short devotional, the meal will be served. JE Manning American Legion Post 258, VFW Post 5870 Meals

Are you constantly on-the-go between work and home? Allow us to take the load off you from cooking every Friday through February 25th! The JE Manning American Legion Post 258 and VFW Post 5870 are joining forces to provide you with dinner! The menu is set and plates are $10 per plate including the main dish, drink (tea or water), bread and possibly an additional side or dessert! We will be serving from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at 308 N. Louise St. in Atlanta, TX. If you simply need volunteer hours or you, your friends, family or other organizations (Honor Societies, Young Adults 14+, Church, etc.) are interested in donating supplies, help serve, pass out food, prep or clean up, please reach out to Post Commander, Mike Steward, at 903-796-9918 (home) or 903-490-4077 (cell) or Jerry Porter at 903-748-5964. February 4th - Baked Spaghetti

February 11th - Chili / Hot Dogs / Frito Pies

February 18th - New Mexico Green Chili Stew

February 25th - Beef Stew

Proceeds will benefit the Middle East War Memorial, Girls State & Boys State and other programs for our veterans and the local community. If you would like to get involved with us, feel free to join us at our next Monthly Meeting. We have coffee and fellowship beginning around 6:45 p.m. and our meetings begin at 7 p.m.
