Band of Champions’ members excel at All-Region tryouts

The Queen City High School band directors took 30 band members to the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-Region tryouts on Dec. 11, and had 12 students make the Region band.

Of those twelve, four advanced to the Area Audition in early January.

Results were as follows: Preston Scoggins - 3A fifth chair clarinet Area Qualifier; Alyssa Delgado - 3A ninth chair clarinet; Kailyn Butler - 3A 16th chair clarinet; Colton Scoggins - 4A first chair Bari sax Area Qualifier; Ebie Dotson - 3A eighth chair trumpet; Josh Fletcher -3A 11th chair trumpet; Nyanza Federick - 4A sixth chair horn; Hannah King - 3A fourth chair tuba Area Qualifier; Caden Vess - 4A first chair percussion Area Qualifier; Alyssa Pierce - 3A ninth chair percussion; Owen Dodd - 3A 10th chair percussion and Brooklinn Beers - 4A seventh chair percussion.
